Narration by Bill Kyle
Welcome back everyone.
Looks like I'm not the only one who has to deal with the supernatural.
Oh, hold on a sec, my phone's ringing! Gotta pick it up real quick.
"Hello? Oh grandma Selina, how are you? Dad and Reggie left already?"
I should warn, my grandmother is a talking machine.
"Oh yes. Things are great here. Well I'm sorry I can't talk right now. I'm in the middle of writing a book. Yes, you told us that in your last letter. Yes, you told us that too..."
I sent the phone down on my desk for a minute while my grandmother kept talking as I typed on my keyboard.
Is grandma that lonely? Doesn't grandpa Bruce pay any attention to her?
Maybe now I can return to my story.
"Sensei Kyle! Can you hear me?"
"What Eddie Kai? What's wrong?"
"Universe 0001 has a new problem. There's a madman who unlocked demonic power somehow, he has become a global threat and is threatening various nations with his seemingly unstoppable armies."
I sighed.
"Alright Eddie I'll be there in a second."
I picked up my phone again. Grandma Selina was still talking.
"Yeah? A-ha? Yes. Yes. Yes."
I sent my phone down again and began to think.
'If this madman had demonic power, he would be a real problem. I will have to teleport to him and see what the situation is.'
I picked my the phone one more time.
"Yes... A-ha... okay... I love you too, bye bye."
Boy, that woman could talk you to death.
I teleported over to universe 0001 and arrived at a fortress made of giant bones. The sky was pitch black and and lightning flashed in the sky.
I landed in the fortress and it took me a moment to adjust to the dim lighting. The sound of my shoes clicking on the stone floor echoed throughout the room.
Suddenly, a voice boomed, "Who dares to come here?!"
I turned around, hoping that I wasn't the only one who heard it.
A large demon with pitch-black fur and red eyes appeared in front of me. His aura was so strong that it made my eyes water.
"Who are you and what do you want?" the demon demanded.
I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. I had never encountered a demonic being before, let alone one that could pose a global threat.
"My name is Bill Kyle. I am the champion of universe prime. I have come to meet your leader, the man who unlocked demonic power."
The demon looked at me with suspicion.
"Universe prime? I'm not familiar with that name, but I'm sure that lord Andras will want to meet you."
We walked through the fortress together, passing groups of demons and other creatures. Andras was still wary of me, but I tried to prove myself as a worthy ally. As we arrived at a throne-like chair, Andras gestured for me to sit. I did so, feeling a small surge of confidence. Andras took his place at the head of the table, surrounded by other demons and other creatures. "I am Andras, leader of this fortress. What brings you here, champion of universe prime?"
I took a deep breath, I had to think of something to tell him.
I bowed.
"My lord, I have heard that you are a formidable force, and I am interested in serving you."
Andras raised an eyebrow.
"I would like to entertain you with a martial arts tournament." I said, "I can bring you the champions of all the other universes to put on a show for you."
"Very well." Andras said, "We will see how strong you are, Bill Kyle. Bring us the other champions and we will determine who is worthy of serving under me."
I nodded.
"Yes, my lord. I shall return with the other champions shortly."
I bowed again, then teleported out of the fortress.
I went to an old hotel in Coney Island and was greeted by Eddie and Kitty. They were renovating it to crest a school of martial arts.
"What happened, sensei?" asked Kitty.
"The demon lord, Andras has agreed to a martial arts tournament. We will face the champions of the other universes in combat."
"A tournament?" Asked Eddie, "Sensei I don't understand how this is going to help."
"It's okay Eddie." I said, "The whole purpose of this tournament is to get Andras to drop his guard. He's arrogant enough to think that we can't defeat him, so we will have to take him by surprise."
"I still don't understand." Eddie said, "But if you say so, sensei."
I teleported back to the fortress and was greeted by Andras.
"The champions of the other universes have been summoned. They will be arriving soon. I have made preparations for the tournament, but we need to make sure that they are all equal in strength."
"What do you mean?" asked Andras.
"They must be given an opportunity to prepare for the tournament, and be given an equal amount of time to train."
Andras chuckled, "Fine. I will allow the champions of the other universes the chance to train and prepare for the tournament. But know that I will not be pleased if you do not succeed in putting on a good show for me."
I bowed, "Yes, my lord."
I teleported back to universe prime.
Before I could do anything else, Lilith teleported in front of me.
"Bill." she said, "We need to talk."
"Sure, Lilith." I said, "What's up?""I heard everything." She said, "If Andras has unlocked enough demonic power to destroy an entire universe then we will all need to stop him. I've been teaching Margaret and Felicia how to fight, I suggest you do the same for the boys."
"What? You want the entire band to enter the tournament?"
"Yes Bill. I know it's dangerous but you will need all the help you can get."
I sighed.
"Okay, I will take the boys to the Mysterious room and we will start training."
