My mom and I were up next.

We stood opposite of each other, staring at each other.

I couldn't believe that I was going to face my own mother in the semifinals.

"Good luck," she said.

"You too," I said.

My mom and I got into our fighting stances, and the battle began.

"You're not going to hold back on me, are you?" asked mom.

"Of course not," I said.

"Good, I'm not gonna hold back either."

Mom made the first move, and she attacked.

"Here goes nothing. Fierce... bomb!"

My mom fired a blast of energy at me.

I held out my hand and shouted "Razor wheel!"

A small energy disk that resembled a buzz saw flew from my hand and cut through the blast.

I looked up and the energy disk was heading back towards mom.

"Crap," said mom.

She held out her hand and shouted, "Force field!"

The shield appeared, and the razor wheel bounced off the force field and faded.

"That was close," she said, "You'll have to better than that."

I decided to go on the offensive, and I attacked.

I punched her, and she stumbled back.

Mom retaliated with a punch, and the attack landed.

I stumbled back, and Mom went in on the offensive.

She rushed at me and kicked me.

I stumbled back, and she jumped in the air, kicking me in the chest.

"Oof!"

"Gotcha!"

I was knocked back.

"You're mine," said Mom.

"Don't be so sure."

Mom rushed in and punched me, and I stumbled back.

"Ugh!"

Mom punched me, and I flew back, landing on the ground.

"Ouch," I said.

"Give up?"

"Never."

"Have it your way."

I was able to get back up.

Mom ran in and me across the face, the kick that she would launch off of the side of the cage back in UFC like a ninja; the kick that she knocked out tons of women with.

She called this the "Hell raising heel"

I was knocked back, and landed on the ground, hard.

"Give it up boy, I'm more experienced than you."

I pointed my finger up in the air, "Dragon python!"

A beam of energy in the shape of a dragon appeared above my finger.

The same move I used to defeat Mark.

The dragon of energy flew around mom and she smirked.

"I'm ready for that."

I had the dragon squeeze her.

"Argh!"

Mom dropped down and started gasping for air.

"Teleport!"

Mom disappeared in a puff of smoke and appeared behind me. She grabbed me and choked me from behind.

"Argh!"

Mom was holding me in place, and I couldn't move.

"Surrender," said mom.

I couldn't breathe, and I knew that she would not let go until I surrendered.

"Give up! You're not going anywhere!"

I tried to break her hold, but she held me tighter.

I couldn't move, I could barely breathe, and I was running out of options.

I could not believe that this was happening, that I was gonna lose the tournament and that I was gonna lose to my own mother.

I summoned my strength and leapt over top of my mother, causing her to fall and releasing me from her grip.

"Damn it," she said, "blinding flash!"

The arena lit up again, but I was able to block my mother's attack using the "blind fist" technique that I used to defeat Lilith.

I quickly got away from her and created a small ball of energy.

"Fierce bomb ha!"

"Two can play that game, Fierce bomb ha!"

The blast met, and the two energies fought for dominance.

The two energies kept clashing until they both exploded.

"Argh!"

The blast knocked the two of us back.

"Damn, I wasn't expecting that," said Mom.

I tried again.

"Fierce bomb ha!"

A larger blast.

It headed straight towards Mom, but she was ready.

"Force field!"

Another shield appeared.

I waved my hands upwards and the energy blast went up. I was controlling it with my hands.

The blast kept going higher and higher until I could no longer see it.

The blast came down, hitting the force field.

The force field kept it contained.

"Now what?" asked mom.

I brought the blast up again.

'She can't keep the shield up forever.'

"Split!"

The energy blast split into a dozen smaller blasts, and they surrounded the shield.

Mom tried to keep the shield up, but the smaller blasts came crashing down and broke the shield.

Mom fell to the ground.

The blasts continued coming down.

I stopped them, and they disappeared.

"I think you've had enough."

I extended my hand.

"That's my boy!"

My mom and I hugged.

Only our family could hug after beating each other up.
