38. Tip of the Iceberg

"This is crazy! Is he sane? Otherwise how could he say like that?"

Jimin overreacted and he could feel it himself. He wanted to lessen this awkwardness by venting his anger. How could he say they were boyfriends... Jimin just kept huffing. But what made him even more displeased was Yoongi's attitude.

Of course, when Jungkook said that, Yoongi looked like he was going to attack him right away. But how is he now? Jimin glanced at Yoongi, who was sitting with his lips tightly closed and only looking at his clasped hands on the table.

Why is he silent with that expression on his face? What is he waiting for?

Jimin pouting his lips without realizing it. He could see Yoongi's lips moving slightly from time to time.

Oh my god, is he swearing? If you hated it that much, couldn't you have just told him it wasn't true?

Jimin was offended. He felt somehow hurt. Of course, he had no intention of being swayed by the words of Jungkook, who was always self-indulgent. But, Jimin was somehow disappointed that Yoongi seemed to reject him so stubbornly. Even if it was a fake boyfriend who was suddenly mentioned, it couldn't have felt good to be rejected. But he didn't want  Yoongi to know his feelings. Maybe that was why he was getting angrier.

"Jimin, don't worry. No one can force you."

Jin tried to comfort Jimin, but it didn't help much. Jimin crossed his arms with a disapproving look on his face and turned his head away from everyone. Soon after, Yoongi got up from his seat and everyone's eyes turned to him. Everyone was curious, but they just looked at him.

Yoongi shrugged his shoulders at them and spoke as if it was no big deal.

"Why? He's awake and there's no need for us all to wait here and do nothing. Everyone go back and take a shower and get some sleep."

"Does that matter now? Shower and sleep?"

Hoseok frowned and asked. This whole situation was difficult for him to handle. Taehyung was like a younger brother to him. He was his only family and the one who gave life to him. But the fact that they were no longer the same as before made him disappointed. Even though he knew it would get better for Taehyung, he couldn't control his upset.

"I'll just do what I can. He won't be in the hospital forever, so I need to be prepared."

It's not that he doesn't know Hoseok's feelings, but Yoongi decided to do what he had to do.

"Now that he's declared they're lovers, Jungkook will definitely bring Taehyung back to the dorm. So Hoseok, I actually need your help. We will have to move his things."

"What?!"

Hoseok frowned angrily and glared at Yoongi. He wasn't ready to become a stranger to Taehyung yet. Hoseok tried to protest to Yoongi, but his next words made him wince again.

"And, you need to hire a new employee. Jimin happens to be my boyfriend, and it doesn't make sense for him to stay with you when there's a spare room in my dorm unit."

"Who says I'm your boyfriend?!"

Jimin shouted angrily. His face was flushed red. He was worried that others might hear his pounding heartbeat. And honestly, he didn't understand why his heart was beating so fast.
