52. Nightmare

Taehyung was pacing in the dark. As he walked in the dark, unable to see anything, tears were flowing endlessly from Taehyung's eyes due to inexplicable sadness. His hand fumbled in the air as if trying to figure out something, but nothing reached his hand. Darkness breeds fear. Taehyung shrugged his shoulders and hesitated to take a step, wary of his surroundings.

'Where am I...'

Then an image of a fancy banquet hall appeared in his mind. And, Taehyung began to remember what had happened to him. Beautiful villas by the lake, Luxuriously dressed people filled the banquet hall, as if it were a gathering of socialites... Among the people who looked very stylish were him, his friends, and Jungkook. They all believed that today's banquet was due to the announcement of his engagement to Jungkook. For a moment, Taehyung unconsciously held his breath as he remembered the old man's cold, mocking eyes directed at him.

'It wasn't possible in the first place. To him, I'm just...'

It was then that a faint sob caught Taehyung's ears and he followed the sound carefully.

'Who are you? Who's there...?'

Taehyung asked, walking cautiously, but like a silent echo, his voice could only be heard in his mind. And at that moment, a faint light came into Taehyung's eyes, and as the light slowly became brighter, he saw the figure of a boy crouching down on the floor. The boy's cries gradually became clearer, and Taehyung frowned at the familiar sound.

'Who are you? Why are you crying alone in this dark place?'

Taehyung asked the boy, but his voice only echoed in his mind. And then Taehyung realized that he was in a dream. He exhaled slowly, feeling his fear lessen slightly. Taehyung moved a little closer to the boy. The boy was sobbing, hugging his legs and putting his head between his knees. As soon as he got closer to the boy, Taehyung recognized who he was and his face was filled with concern.

'Jungkook? Why are you crying here? Jungkook, Kookie, look at me! Kookie!'

Taehyungie-hyung, Where have you gone? 

Where did you disappear without saying a word?

'Kookie....?'

Taehyung was startled when he heard the resentment in Jungkook's voice. He called out to Jungkook, but the voice was still only echoing in his mind. Taehyung tried to get closer to Jungkook, but he couldn't move at all, as if his feet were stuck on the floor. Taehyung just looked at him, sighing heavily in sadness.

To find you, I will search every corner of the world again and again! 

I will never stop it until I find you!

How can you leave me? How could you leave?!

Wherever you are hiding, I will find you!

'Kookie, Jungkook, I'm not hiding... I'm...  I'm also shocked about this situation! Why...Why are so angry?'
