"Thanks, Hyung..."

"You should thank your father."

"............."

At Namjoon's words, a bitter smile appeared on Jungkook's lips. He hated when people talked about his relationship with Taehyung like gossip. Of course, it is an unavoidable fact that he's the only heir to a chaebol family. But still, Jungkook really hated that Taehyung had to endure the attention of people due to his status, and that people talked about him without even knowing him well.

"How was your meeting with your father? How was Taehyung, is he okay?"

Namjoon asked, glancing at Jungkook out of the corner of his eye. It was late, well past 10 p.m., and before coming to infront of Jungkook dormitory, Namjoon was called by Jungkook's father, Wonho. Namjoon was so nervous before entering Wonho's office that even now, he felt like his hands were still sweating.

"It was pretty good."

"Hmm... how much does he know about Taehyung?"

"Well, some truth and some fakery."

"Umm..."

When Namjoon nodded as if he understood without needing further explanation, Jungkook gasped and looked out the window. His eyes were drawn to the dormitory building where Taehyung and his room were located, and soon his mind recalled the meeting with his father that had occurred during the day.

"Hmm... Will uncle be happy to see me?"

Early afternoon, Jungkook was standing in front of Hoseok's cafe, holding Taehyung's hand tightly. He smiled brightly at Taehyung, who was looking at him with worried eyes. Jungkook was honestly overcome with anxiety when his dad, as if giving him a notice, told him to bring Taehyung to Hoseok's cafe. Jungkook was thankful that his dad chose Hoseok's cafe as a meeting place, because at least Taehyung would be less nervous.

Well, it seemed like there was no place where their privacy could be guaranteed better than Hoseok's cafe. Jungkook thought that his father was also well aware of it. Even though he made up some stories to his dad about Taehyung and Hoseok, but he knew that his dad wouldn't fully believe him.

"Kookie..."

"Don't worry, babe. Don't you remember? My father loved you like his own son, ever since we were little."

"But..."

"He did everything to find you. Trust me. He'll be truly happy to see you again."

"To find me? What do you mean?"

Jungkook was taken aback by Taehyung's question and became nervous for a moment. He cursed his lack of caution for inadvertently telling the truth.

"Oh, I mean...he never met you until we came back from studying abroad. He tried to meet you, but unfortunately he didn't get the chance. Because you returned to Korea later than me and came straight to the dormitory. He really missed you..."

"Ah~ But haven't I never contacted uncle in all this time? really? How could I be so ungrateful?"

"Tae, you had a hard time after your father passed away. And it was the same for my father. You know very well, how close friends they were. Then, we were busy adjusting to the new environment and my dad was busy with his work too."

"Umm... I see..."

Jungkook had to feel guilty once more when he saw Taehyung blindly believing everything he said. But there was only one thing he could do now: make sure this play survived.
