46. The Calm before The Storm

The air is still cold, but the weather has warmed up a bit.

Their winter, full of joy and sadness, happiness and pain, was gradually turning into spring. Buds were sprouting on the trees, and birdsong could be heard everywhere in the morning. As spring approached, their long winter vacation was coming to an end. 

And lately, Jungkook, Taehyung, Yoongi, and Jimin have been going to Hoseok's cafe every day. It was because of Taehyung's affection and longing for Yeontan. Taehyung became felt down if he didn't see Yeontan even for a day, and Jungkook never let him be like that. Accordingly, Jungkook took Taehyung to Hoseok's cafe every day as if he were going to work, and Yoongi and Jimin automatically followed them.

Actually, Jimin had to go there to work and thanks to his friends who went to see Yeontan every day, he was spending more time at the cafe than his working hours. And all of this made Hoseok so happy.

"Taehyung, Jungkook, come here. Let's have lunch."

Hoseok had already called them three or four times, but when they didn't come, he urged them again. Hoseok couldn't stop smiling warmly as he watched Taehyung still playing around with Yeontan on the carpet. He had never even thought that they could be allowed a day like this, and Hoseok was incredibly moved by the sight that unfolded before his eyes.

"Hmm, Someone should bring him here, even if it means carrying him on the shoulders. It would be impossible to feed him if we didn't do something like that.  When it comes to Yeontan, he's completely lost..."

Jimin said as he set their drinks down on the table. Soon he held the tray in front of his chest and smiled warmly, just like Hoseok. Well, who wouldn't smile at such a beautiful sight? Jimin's gaze immediately shifted from Taehyung to Jungkook. Is that what a person in love looks like... Jimin's heart fluttered for some reason.

Yoongi glanced at Jimin. 

Why? Why does that little boy keep bothering me and catching my eye?

Yoongi let out a low sigh. He had never laid eyes on anyone other than Jungkook. Jungkook was the person he had to protect, and it was all thanks to him that he was able to live a life without any shortcomings. 

Yoongi didn't have anything in particular to wish for or a life to hope for. But anyway, in order to survive, he needed a job, and fortunately, becoming Jungkook's bodyguard was a great opportunity for him. Well, he had to struggle for a while to deal with Jungkook, who was the perfect example of a spoiled child born with a silver spoon in his mouth. In fact, what he was born with was not silver, but the highest quality diamond. The best of the best... 

It was fortunate for them that he got to see Jungkook's true nature. If not, he probably would have quit this job a long time ago... and, for the first time, Yoongi had affection for someone. It was as if he cared for his immature youngest brother.

However, his feelings toward Jimin were a little different. At least he didn't feel ridiculously happy or smile like an idiot when he watched Jungkook eat or sleep. And Yoongi felt troubled because the kid kept making him in that state. It was unfamiliar and awkward to him, but he secretly hoped it wouldn't go away. It was a very uncomfortable yet sweet feeling.

What is making him feel envious again this time?

Following Jimin's gaze, there was Jungkook. Yoongi frowned for a moment. His brain raced as he wondered why Jimin was looking at Jungkook like that. Could this be misleading? but, Yoongi's eyes for people were quite sharp. Yoongi quickly realized that Jimin was watching Jungkook because he was looking at Taehyung with eyes full of love.
