"Well, YAGOO is our employer and the CEO of Cover corporation. He's the one who helped us integrate into human society and become accepted with the help of our Vtuber career. We're all thankful towards him!" Ina explains to the even more confused man.
"...Is he capable of sending me back to my original world?" The man wonders to himself.
"...I'd like to meet him."
"Humu! We'd hate to have to force you there after all!"
A portal opens up behind Ina as she steps to the edge of the arm they're standing on.
"Just step in and you'll reach our HQ!"
Envy does as told and finds himself in front of Hololive HQ. Surrounding him is the concrete jungle of Tokyo, brimming with life and sound despite how late it is... to the point where his sensitive ears feel like they're about to burst. The girls follow suit and appear behind him.
"Well, go on! I'm sure you'll love meeting him! You'll have to get used to being a Vtuber though!" The phoenix ushers him towards the doors. He steps closer and, to his surprise, the doors open automatically.
"...What is this?" He says as he turns to Kiara.
"...Do you not have those back in your world?"
"Kiara, you do realize he may not be from the XXI century, right?" Amelia deadpans.
"...I make mistakes too, okay?!"
"Yes, well you've been making a lot of mistakes ever since this guy appeared!"
The reaper accuses as she points to Envy.
Having had enough, Amelia sighs heavily and walks through the doors while Gura, Ina and, albeit distrustfully, Envy follow through.
The blonde turns to face Envy and clears her throat.
"I know you can't see it, but this is Hololive HQ and the place where we perform our activities as Vtubers and entertainers!"
"..."
"...As dry as the Sahara desert." She thinks to herself.
"I'll be in my room. I'm not feeling well since earlier... sorry." The shark girls tail is slightly lowered as she walks off.
"I think I'll go get those two out of the streets. I hope you fit in well, Envy!" Ina smiles gently before walking outside to mediate the two lovebirds, well... lovebird and grim reaper.
"...It's just us two, huh? Well, in that case, I'll take you straight to the man himself! I've already notified him of the fact that we're here so he should be waiting for us!"
She starts walking towards the elevator, but stops when she sees that Envy isn't following.
"...What is he doing?" She ponders as he lifts his arm up and snaps his fingers, causing all the lights in the building and the surrounding structures to flicker heavily for a few seconds, some shorting out while others flat out breaking. The hairs on her arms yet again stand up, revealing tiny arcs of energy as she stares at them.
"...This again... such a weird feeling. Makes me shiver." She shudders slightly as it subsides shortly, though it seems it attracted the attention of everybody, not to mention the shirtless and buff man standing in the doorway, which admittedly made some employees blush.
Amelia walks back to him as she takes off her coat and places it on him.
"...Put it on. I'm getting second-hand embarrassment."
"...how do I?"
"...Ugh, you've gotta be kidding me... fine, here. Let me help you."
She puts it on him and has to hold back a chuckle as it barely fits his large frame, doing horribly at hiding his body.
"Get your ass moving. I need some sleep too, you know?"
"...Alright."
Envy starts walking towards the elevator and Amelia follows closely behind. Once inside, she decides she wants info out of him.
"...So what's with the shocks you keep giving out?"
"...Reconnaissance."
"Oh, cool~ How do they work? Is it like... you can actually see things?"
"...I can't see details. For example..."
He looks at her eyes, staring deeply into her and earning a slight blush on her cheeks.
"...I can't see eye colour, but I can see the movement of your face. Your mouth moving, your eyebrows furrowing."
"...Oh, so you can see!"
"...Right."
The elevator dings, signaling that they've reached their destination and YAGOO's floor. Amelia steps out first and Envy, yet again, follows suit.
"Alright, this is the door to his office! Step in and he'll tell you whatever it is you need to know!"
Without another word, he steps into YAGOO's office. The CEO sits up from his chair, still drowsy. He did get woken up for this after all, and so he got himself a cup of coffee which is on the table behind him.
"...Hello, Envy. It is nice to meet you."
He bows slightly and extends his arm for a shake.
"...Likewise."
He shakes his hand, maintaining eye contact and giving him a slight shock as well as he tightly grips his palm.
"I have a question for you. Do you know what a Vtuber or Virtual Youtuber is?"
"...No. Why?"
"...I was intending to make you a part of one of our units, but now I see it would be better for you to be a... security guard of sorts instead."
"...Explain."
They both drop the handshake and the act. YAGOO smiles and sits back down on his chair.
"...Ahem, it would be my pleasure. I believe that, given your lack of knowledge of something as common as a 'youtuber'... you are not from this world. Is that correct?"
"...Yes."
"...In that case, I believe you can't be a Virtual Youtuber or manager. One requires the ability to entertain while the other requires technical skills. You seemingly have neither."
"..."
"...Which is why I've come to the conclusion that you should be a personal bodyguard for some of our idols."
"...On one condition."
"...You wish to be sent back home?"
"...Yes."
"...I'm afraid I have no way of fulfilling your condition."
In a flash, Envy has YAGOO by the neck as the CEO's desk flies to the side, his feet just above the ground as Envy's pupils turn jet black yet again.
"...T-this will... not h-help you... get home."
"...I'll find my own way, but first..."
He moves to the glass wall of his office and slams YAGOO against it, smashing the glass as he dangles the man.
"...I-i promise to find a way to s-send you back if you take the offer!"
"...Is that so?" Envy narrows his eyes coldly.
"...Y-yes. I swear!"
"..." Envy brings him back into the warmth of his office, letting him drop to the floor, breathing heavily and now wide awake from the near death experience.
"...Follow through. I'll return tomorrow."
As he says this, he slowly begins levitating above the ground. Passing through the shattered window as he disappears into the night sky, leaving the overworked CEO to recover.
