"...I'm sorry, Mumei. I just didn't know what else to do at the time." Fauna continues.

"...No, it's... it's alright. You did it for me..." Mumei's head lowers, deep in thought and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information she's received.

As a matter of fact, the majority of the girls are deep in thought, shaken by just how widespread the effect Envy had upon them really was.

"...Are we gonna go find him? I'm waiting, so come on already." Kronii puts a hand on her hip, shifting her weight onto one leg with furrowed brows.

"...I-Yes, you're... you're right, Kronii.", Fauna answers her, earning a short nod from The Warden.

"...I agree, we should go... let's bring him back... home." Mumei smiles for a moment as she ponders the last word over.

"...Alright, then. It's decided. Who knows a way to find him?" Kronii looks at Fauna, then at Bae, then at Sana.

"...Well? He could be trying to kill himself any moment now."

"...Alright, hold on. Is this really a good idea? Are we really just gonna... force him to come with us? He'll just hate us, won't he?" Bae frowns at the idea, a little annoyed by it.

"...Oh, I'm sure he'll come around eventually. If not... then I'll find a way to make him." Kronii smirks, a malicious glint easily identifiable in her sapphire-like eyes.

"...No, we need to take it slow. We can't force him. Bae's right, he'll hate us if we try to force him into accepting us." Fauna shakes her head, narrowing her eyes.

"...If that fails, then it's my way."

"...Yes... we're bringing him back..." Mumei smiles, her heartbeat quickening with each passing thought of spending time with Envy at her side.

"...Is anyone objecting to this?" Kronii looks around at the girls one by one, stopping at Sana as she speaks out.

"...This is wrong... we shouldn't be doing this, Kronii..." Sana shakes her head slowly, a worried expression on her face.

"...Sana, he's brought us together. We couldn't do that alone. If we could, we would've done so already. We've been alive for... so long, yet we still can't be fully open about how we feel to one another."

"...I... but, sti-..."

"...He put us back together after barging into our lives out of nowhere..."

Kronii lifts up her hand, snapping her fingers.

"...Just like that. And now, you want to let him disappear just as fast? No, I won't let you."

"...Sana, just let this happen. I promise neither of us will hurt him." Fauna puts a hand on her chest.

"..." Sana swallows a lump in her throat, silently contemplating.

"...He can fix us. Please, Sana, just let it happen. You don't have to do anything. We'll do it all for you, okay?" Kronii voice is soothing, as if speaking to a child.

"...Okay..."

"...Good, now, could you tell us where he is?" Kronii instantly appears right in front of Sana, looking down at her softly.

"...In a mountain. I-I don't want to see him... so I'll go home... but I can send you to him..." Sana shies away from Kronii's stare, feeling like cornered prey, helpless to solve the situation.

"...Okay... good, Sana. Thank you for doing this. Now, open up the portal."

"...Okay..." A portal opens up behind Sana, causing Kronii to look up at it and smirk contently.

"...Alright, everyone who wants to follow... after me." Kronii says as she disappears into the portal, giving one last look behind her.

...Far high, above the sky, a massive, mechanical creation of white marble, accented by a gold lining, in the shape of an oval, circles the Earth.

Massive rings, decorated by equally distanced windows of large volume spin around the creation, lighting up the exterior.

Both of its ends are that of a javelin, the very tip-top being ever so slightly parted.

Within this massive creation, a woman walks. Her dark, black eyes, red lips and white walls contrast with each other beautifully, as if to say she doesn't belong there.

"...Hm~ Hm~ Hm~" She hums quietly with each reverberating step, her voice growing louder and louder with every sound she finishes.

"...To start a revolution... you need to give a presentation, a show for the people~" She grins, an unnerving spread of her lips that'd make you shudder, especially when looking into those dead, void-like eyes...

She suddenly spins on her heel, twirling around and spreading her arms out.

"...Oh, the blood... pouring down... all on me~"

She looks up to the ceiling, not because she sees something, but because she's imagining something.

She giggles loudly, an echo resounding through the air. Her eyes focus ahead, on the end of the corridor she's stepping through, marked by a large, white, mechanical door.

She opens that door, a bright light cascading upon her figure and eyes.

"...Here it is, the first ring, Malchut!" She stops walking, gazing upon the hundreds, if not thousands of people dressed in modern clothing.

A massive space covered by modern day, simple houses and grassy fields fills the view, stretched out for what seems to be an eternity and bent around itself in a circle.

All of the people chat and talk together, too distracted to notice her presence or unnerving grin.

A scythe appears in her hand, the tip of the blade shining from the light above.

"...Oh, Brother... I wonder if I'll get to show you my work~?"

She takes step after step, approaching the innards of the civilization before her with her scythe at the ready.

"...This'll be fun~"

The first few people notice her, gathering to say hello to a 'god' of theirs, to which, she answers by raising her weapon high, and lopping their heads off. All in one fell swoop, dead in an instant. Blood cleanly splatters onto her black dress, only leaving a slight taint. The newly-made bodies drop to the ground with a short and loud thud.

People around stop to look, their eyes widening in horror at the sight of their idolized 'creator' standing with blood by her feet.

"...Ahaha..." She looks down at the corpses, raising a hand to her face and tainting it, too, in blood, only to bring it to her mouth next. Her lips crack open to let her fingers in, the still-warm blood reaching her papillae, prompting her to shudder in pleasure.

The lids of her eyes drop as she takes it in, the metallic taste that graces her mind.

She pulls her fingers out of her mouth, drawing a string of saliva.

"...I'd run if I were you." She says, her voice laced with sadistic glee, before opening her eyes.

The people do as she says, taking off running as fast as their legs can take them.

...Yet, she doesn't follow. She only watches them run away, but... why run away from death? You'll die anyways.

She inches forwards, and a man drops to the ground, lifeless.

She inches forwards, and a woman drops to the ground, lifeless.

She inches forwards, and a child held by a mother stops screaming.

Holding the scythe in her hand, Mors ecstatically walks, people dropping dead no matter how far away she stood from them. It didn't matter where or how far they ran, they kept dying.

People died out one by one, the sound of footsteps died out one by one, the sound of heavy breathing died out one by one, souls died out one by one.

...Until there was no one left but one.

...Hopeless by every meaning of the word.
