The dwarves quickly run off without another word, exiting through the entrance of the mine.

Envy glances back at them for a moment, then looks ahead. He continues through the stone corridor, the only light around him being that of the candles attached to the wooden support beams.

Slowly, but surely, his ears are filled by the sounds of dripping water, hammers banging against metal and men screaming.

"...Here we are." He thinks to himself as he reaches a massive cliff of rosy stone, the view filled by massive stalagmites and stalactites that protrude from both the ceiling and the floor of a massive, oval cavern.

Rooms and entire homes are chiseled into the everso crimson stone walls of the cavern, families consisting of men, women and children living within them. Wooden beams make the shape of the abodes, outlining the rooms.

Drops of water falls from the top, pooling around the feet of the men who walk with crates of metals and weaponry made for war.

Gems glow, held within the surface of the cave, providing natural illumination for the dwarves.

"...Vulcan." Envy homes in on one voice, paying heavy attention even from so far away.

"...Prepare everything. We'll need it." Vulcan's deep, throaty voice echoes throughout the sea of voices.

"...Magic... hah." A smirk appears on Envy's lips for only a moment, disappearing as quickly as it came.

He approaches the front of the cliff he stands on, stepping onto the wooden platform there, a pulley holding it up.

Without a thought, the sword that floats behind him moves to cut the rope of the pulley. In a flash, the platform starts to plummet to the bottom with him on it.

The dwarves walking around immediately turn their heads to see a dust cloud form as a blade glides down.

A moment later, a figure steps through the smoke.

"SOUND THE HORN!" A man yells out, his voice controlled by fear as he drops the crate of iron he holds. Without a doubt, all of the other citizens of Riqueza hid in their homes.

The song of a horn rings out through the cavern. Envy's head turns to look at it, a massive, hollowed goat horn held by a wooden stand.

"..." He swings his arm at it, and the sword comes after, smashing it to bits.

Envy turns back to see a massive arrow headed his way, the metal tip dimly gleaming from the glow of the jewels that line the walls.

The sword flies past him, colliding with the arrow and breaking it into bits.

"...Hello, Envy. Come for me too, have you?" A four-armed, shirtless man with red skin approaches him. A door, an entrance to his workshop opened wide behind him.

The leather of his cargo pants shuffles ever so slightly with every shoeless step.

His long, black, braided hair and beard drape over his eyes as his narrowed, blue-eyed gaze take in every minute detail of Envy's movements.

"...Hello, Vulcan. It's good to know you still have any sort of wits." Envy looks him straight in the eyes, his pupils darkening.

"...I try to keep 'em, but you... you're already makin' it hard." Vulcan clenches all of his fists.

"...Good. I wouldn't have it any other way, Vulcan." Envy smirks, stepping closer to him with his chin held high.

"...Aww, you're tryin' to provoke me. I'm not so fuckin' stupid anymore, you son of a bitch."

"...I don't believe you. Would Laetitia ever forgive you if I died by your hands today?"

"...She's not here, is she? She's dead. Because of you. So I don't care what the FUCK... she wants now. What matters... is what I want."

The two meet in the middle of the cavern, not having blinked once.

"...What do you want? To stay holed up li-..."

"...SHUT. YOUR. FUCKIN'. MOUTH." Vulcan growls out through clenched teeth, a scowl of disgust and hatred on his face that leaves saliva on Envy's face.

"...Or what, Vulcan? You'll kill me? Or will you have Mors bring you back to life... just like last time? The time you died trying to avenge Laetitia?"

"...I... will kill you... I promise you, Envy." Vulcan forcefully holds his anger back, trying to keep himself from punching Envy in the jaw right now.

"...History repeats itself."

"...I'll make sure it doesn't."

"..."

"..."

They reach a silent standstill. With nothing else left to say to one another... Vulcan immediately throws a punch with his upper right arm, prompting Envy to back away and swing his arm, the sword poised behind his back coming around him to stab into Vulcan.

"...?!"

He raises both arms on the right side, ready to block the sword, only to be blown away by the impact.

Vulcan's body collides with the hard surface of the cavern.

"...Fuck, condensed magnetite powder, huh?" He says as he stands up, his blue eyes shining softly.

"...Correct. What of it?" Envy says as he turns, the blade coming back to his side.

"...Nothin', just surprised you got the brains to think o' that." Vulcan smirks, wiping his shoulders.

"...You'll see what I can think of when I win."

"...I disagree. I'll kick your ass."

"...In your dreams."

Vulcan scoffs, raising his fists again and charging forwards.

Envy reels his hand back and throws it forwards, the sword flying past with a gust of wind that ruffles his hair.

"...Its kept together mostly through electromagnetism, so... I just have to put it under a lot of shock, or I could heat it up..."

Vulcan doesn't have enough time to think it through as he's forced to dodge the blade hurled towards him, tucking under it before standing up straight again.

"...How did you get out of the pendant, Envy?" Vulcan says as he dodges the returning blade, simply tilting his head to the side.

"...I learned its layout." The weapon flies back to Envy's side.

"...Oh, you did, did you now?" Vulcan scoffs again, narrowing his eyes.

"...You won't break it, Vulcan. I'm warning you." Envy says, seeing through Vulcan's attempt at hiding his intentions.

"...That so? We'll see about that... won't we?"

Vulcan assumes a fighting stance, pushing his right foot forwards, tiling to the front and pulling both right fists back, as if to punch Envy in the ribs, while the other two are stretched out towards the front.

"...I'm going to kill you, then I'll kill the rest of The Pantheon." Envy doesn't move an inch, but narrows his eyes threateningly.

"...Won't you shut... up...?" Vulcan's stance relaxes, standing up straight as he looks past Envy.

"...?" Envy raises a brow at this.

"...Hello, Envy. Did you miss us~?" Kronii's voice, almost energetic, is heard echoing through the cavern.

"..." Envy silently turns to look behind him, looking at the girls with narrowed eyes. He almost looks like Vergil.

"...You're coming home, with us, Envy." Mumei stands right beside Kronii, her tone commanding, cold and most definitely stating that this is non-negotiable.
