"...Come on, Mumei. Your friends must have noticed your disappearance." Envy says as he looks down at the still sobbing girl.
"...Y-yes, just... a second." She slowly removes herself from him, smiling and wiping away tears of joy.
"...I have a question for you, Envy..." She looks at him, her face slowly returning to normal as she sniffles cutely.
"...Yes?"
"...How do you... Cope... Live with it...?"
"... I do not. I accept the fact that it's a part of who I am. I am imperfect. I accept that and I walk through this... hollow and dark corridor we call... Life, because it's all I can do."
"...I see..." Mumei is saddened by his response as she looks down, but raises her head once more to face him.
"...At least we're together, right?"
"...yes, Mumei. That much... we deserve. You deserve even more than that."
"...Why...?" She tilts her head slightly.
"..." He opens his mouth to speak, but hesitates.
"...Are you alr-"
Kronii's voice can be heard as another "GWAK!" roars through the building.
"Let's go, Mumei. You walk ahead."
"... N-no, I want to walk with you..."
"...Fine." He matches her pace as they silently pass through the many obstacles of the haunted house. Not long after, they've already caught up to Kronii and Fauna in the second area, a dark cave. The sounds of dripping water echo inside the cavern, the silence is deafening and I'm pretty sure you can hear teeth clacking against each other...
"...So what were you two doing?" Asks Fauna, paying close attention to Envy and Mumei's faces.
"O-oh... Uhm, nothing..." Mumei chuckles nervously as she tries to hide her embarrassment.
"...Hmm~? Doesn't feel like nothing~"
"...I was comforting her."
"Oh, were you now?" Says Kronii, a hint of venom in her voice.
"...Yes. I was. Nothing more, nothing less."
"Is that true Mumei?" Kronii presses.
"...Yes, it is. Please don't be so suspicious of him. He's done nothing wrong."
"...Alright then. Let's hurry up and get outta here." Kronii speeds up, forcing the others to do the same.

A few more jumpscares and the four have finished their tour of the haunted attraction. The sun is setting outside as they chat for a little while.
"...Well, come on, you two. We need to leave." Urges Kronii.
"...Sorry, but I'd like to walk with Envy a little bit..."
"...Alright, Mumei... Do whatever you want."
"...Are you sulking, Kronii?" Fauna asks, interest filling her voice.
"...No, I'm not. Let's get a move on."
Kronii and Fauna take their leave while Mumei and Envy stay behind.
"...Could we walk to HQ together?"
"...Fine. I also need to talk to YAGOO."
Her eyes light up ever so slightly.
"Great! Come on then. I'll show you the way!"
