"Well, where is she?" Bae asks, tapping her foot on the ground in boredom."Mind is in Shekhinah. In the Pantheon. She won't be anywhere else, because that's where the plot needs her to be."
"...Is it bad that we don't know what the hell that... Sehk-ina-hh... place is? Or what The Pantheon is?" Calliope crosses her arms over her chest.
"...It doesn't matter. It's a place, that's it. We're going there." Envy sighs, walking towards the exit to find a bigger space.
"And what does plot mean...?" IRyS asks as everyone reluctantly trails behind Envy.
"The plot is what needs to happen. As a matter of fact, it's what will happen. The plot is a... chronology of events, in a way."
"...More questions, less answers..." Gura's tail drags along the ground tiredly, slumped over and with her eyelids falling heavy as she sighs.
"...Sana, could you make us another portal?" Envy stops in his tracks, turning around to face the ten girls.
"Oh, yes, of course!" Sana smiles cheerfully, shutting her eyes as she lifts a hand and snaps her fingers.
Yet again, a portal opens up, wide enough for them all to step in.
And that, they do.
A massive expanse meets their gaze as they all exit the portal together, Envy taking the lead.
Godrays shine down from the bottomless pit of light that is the ceiling, illuminating their gladiator arena, simply waiting for its duelists.
A blackened scythe rests against the side of a golden throne cut in half, one sat upon by an elegant, yet deadly woman.
"...Hello, brother. I see you brought company. Doubled it, actually. Who're the other five?" Mind smirks, an mockful air sorrounding her as she shifts one crossed leg over the other, resting her head on a clenched fist.
"...Do you think it matters?"
"...No, not really. But I am wondering, they shouldn't be here. No one should be here but us two, so why did you bring them?"
"...They wouldn't leave me alone." Envy deadpans, frustrated.
"..." Mind doesn't say anything else, instead, she stares blankly at him, then, one by one she looks to each and every girl.
"..." Envy is just as silent as her, taking note of every single minute detail in every move she makes.
"...Well, this is very unusual. You hardly ever even talk to me before we fight, for one. Neither do you ever bring anyone else with you..." Mind trails off, standing up.
"...Let's make this interesting. I won't kill them, but I will... 'limit' them." Mind's smirk disappears, replaced instead by a serious, thoughtful look.
The girls all give a confused look, though some simply stare, determined to get this over with.
Mind silently raises her hand up to her face, then snaps her fingers.
Immediately, everyone in Council starts to feel as if their bodies grew heavy, weighted down by boulders on their backs, yet there's nothing there, it feels as if it's more their mind playing tricks on them.
"...Tch..." Kronii clicks her tongue, annoyed by the turn of events.
"...Huh... interesting..." Bae inspects her self, trying to use her ability to restore herself, yet being unable to do so.
"...Hmm..." Fauna hums, narrowing her eyes as she stares at Mind bitterly.
"..." Mumei doesn't say a word, instead, she's laser focused on Minds expression, stuck like a leech.
"...Haah..." Sana sighs, ever so slightly afraid of the situation.
"..." IRyS swallows a lump in her throat as she feels the weight drop on her, taking a step forwards.
"...That should do the trick." Mind's smirk returns, yet this time it's diminished, seemingly saddened by the handicap she's placed on her enemies.
"..." Envy doesn't say a word as Mind looks over to the Holomyth girls, her smirk turning into a smile.
"...You won't need any handicaps~" She says in a sickly sweet tone, mocking them through and through.
"...Oh, now it's personal." Calliope shoots a smirk Mind's way, summoning her scythe from a dark cloud in preparation for battle.
"Is it? I don't believe I said anything wrong. All I did was... state facts and truth, no?" Mind takes a step forwards towards the group, her smile transforming into a grin.
"...It's a fact and truth that you're gonna die in a few minutes, you bitch." Calliope scowls at her.
"Aww, how cute. Would you like some treats, little miss doggy?" Mind stalks forward, her grin growing ever wider, though only by centimeters.
"Oh, you're fuckin' asking fo-..."
"Stop, Calliope. She's just trying to get into your head. Don't answer her." Amelia interrupts the Shinigami, her voice a stark contrast with Mind's.
"...Hehehe, it feels nice to finally have someone answering me. Refreshing, really." Mind twirls her scythe in hand, the vermilion end of the blade painted by innocent lives.
"...Well... you know the rest." Mind's weapon cuts into the ground as it comes to a stop, and so does she she.
"...Yeah." Envy says.
Without another word, a black blade rushes past him at blinding speeds, rustling his hair and kicking up a current as it smashes into the handle of Mind's scythe, being blocked.
Mind is pushed back, the ground smashed where her feet are, digging into the ground.
She doesn't have time to recover, however, as a glint in her blade shows her the face of someone behind her.
"...Damn..." Calliope says as Mind sidesteps out of the way, turning on her heel to deliver a kick to her stomach which fails to hit as the Shinigami's form melts into a black mist.
"...Hmm, that's interesting. Never thought about that." Mind comments as she feels her leg go right through Calliope's abdomen.
The black mist takes Calliope's shape yet again as she raises her weapon, aimed to strike Mind's back, but just as it's about to hit, she dodges, twirling back as if she's performing on a stage.
One after the other, her feet move, aligned in a single direction to dodge Envy's returning blade by millimetres as she tilts her head back.
"...I guess I should give you more credit, or are you simply pushing yourself, doggy~?"
Mind mocks the reaper, gracefully shifting her body as she steals a glance towards her.
