Kronii time skips to Mumei's side, blocking her from leaving the room.
"...You're not leaving here. Got it?"
"Get out of the way, Kronii. I'm sick of listening to you." Mumei's expression is cold as she stares into Kronii's eyes from below.
"...I don't care. Get back in the bed. I'm cleaning this mess up."
"...What? No! You're not cleaning anything up! Get out of the way!"
Mumei tries to push past the Time Warden, only to find herself back in bed, Kronii laying beside her. The two face each other, a sad expression on Kronii's face.
"...Go to sleep." Kronii pleads.
"..."
"...Don't make this hard."
"...Why won't you let me be happy?"
"...How am I not letting you be happy...?" She already wants to yell out her question, but she restrains herself.
"...I just want to be with him. Is it that hard to accept that?"
"...It's not... hard, but he's just... I have a bad feeling about him, alright?!" She slightly raises her voice.
"But why? He didn't do anything wrong!"
"...You saw what he did in his world. How could that be fine?"
"...We both know you don't care about people dying. Don't try to fool me, Kronii."
"...Haah... Look, I refuse to accept him. He's not like the others."
"...He's what I need."
Seeing that there's no way to get through to her, Kronii relents and puts her into stasis by placing her hand on Mumei's shoulder.
"...N-!" Mumei's body is locked into place, unable to move at all.
"...I'll sleep here too. Good night." Kronii closes her eyes, quickly falling asleep.
A few hours later
"-ake up! Mooms, wake up already!" A voice is hear on the other side of the door, sounding alarmed as the person it belongs to knocks repeatedly against the wood.
Kronii groggily gets up, her eyes still half-lidded. Mumei is still in stasis so Kronii goes to open the door instead, being met by Bae.
"...Huh? W-What're you doin' here?!"
"...Oh, you know, admiring perfection~"
"...Uh-huh, well, get Mumei!"
"...Why?"
"...look to your left."
"Hu-?!" Kronii does as told, her eyes widening in surprise.
She steps out of the room as Bae moves out of the way.
A massive hole in the building, pipes and electrical cables sticking out of the different floors that were smashed through along with rebar... how did nobody wake up?
"...What the hell is this?!"
"...Well, I would guess... Envy~?"
Bae walks to the edge of it, looking downwards to see the room that Envy was held captive in. The white walls now black because of whatever went on in there. Kronii follows suit, sighing before looking up and seeing the blue sky outside.
"...Pretty cool, right? Who would've thought he'd get out?"
"...Tch." Kronii clicks her tongue, her plan of simply killing Envy before anything else could happen having gone down the drain all of a sudden.
