Once again I awoke close to Kiernan.
This time not even in his apartment inside a guest room but in his arms, a moment I couldn't have imagined to make me feel so safe. Yesterday had been a lot, not only that but to hear him say all those things about- well, somehow us; it had brought up so many emotions in me.
From good to scared to worried and maybe even somewhat infatuated.
I had tried to not make it all so easy, to not simply give into his wish for me giving him a chance; though I wanted nothing more than that.
But I needed to take my time with it, really see what he's up to before I fall in love again. Maybe this was just a game, so I needed a bit of distance.Easier said than done when I was laying head to his chest with his heart pounding against my ear and soft breaths falling from his lips; soft lips.
I had fallen asleep to his voice, talking about Spain and his neighbourhood.
I had really tried to listen for longer than what felt like two seconds, but the whole bathing had got me tired.Maybe the stuff before that as well.
I tilted my head to the side, looking more up at him.
His hair was falling across his face covering some parts of his eyes and his lips were slightly parted. His lips slightly puffed up and his nostrils moving with every breath.
He looked so sweet, so different from normally.
I had never seen him like this, he was always this very strong and almost callous looking guy, suddenly he looked like a small boy. So sweet and innocent.
Much different from how he had acted yesterday, with his mouth on my- Well, that were not the thoughts I could afford right now.
He was looking sweet and I needed to cherish that before he would wake up again. I turned to the side, reaching for my phone that was plucked into a charger.
Maybe he was always a little more sweet than I gave him credit for. I took it off the charger and checked the time. 10.35am.
I turned back around, ignoring the few messages from Lyric that laid beneath the time.
I was about to wrap myself back up in his arms when I noticed his eyes slightly opening, his hands moving up to his head and rubbing across his face and eyes.
"Good morning" I mumbled, feeling my voice having to warm up before I could speak at a normal volume. He turned to me, one of his hands falling down as the other moved his hair in the back. "mi amor" his voice was raspy, clearly needing a warm up too.
I smiled up at him, his free hand moving around my waist and pulling me back against his warm frame.
I comfortably rested my head against his shoulder as the other hand came around me too, lifting me back on his body.
"how did you sleep princess?" I reclosed my eyes, listening to his heart beat going slightly slower than it had while he was sleeping.
"Good and you?"
"Can't sleep bad with you by my side."
"10 in the morning and already such a crawler, you act like this in class too?"
he chuckled, clearing his voice slightly to make it more normal.
"Of course" his hand moved below my shirt and I felt tingles running up my spine. His fingertips moving along the small of my back and softly caressing my skin. "not everyone has the privilege of being as smart as you"
"Funny" I mumbled, trying to blend out his fingers that kept reaching my waistband, playing with the stretching fabric.
"Have to get my good marks somehow"
Fingers.
