"LYRIC"
"What?" a yell from the kitchen in which I was just about to run into. "He is picking me up in thirty." I really was trying not to panic. Not to freak out at least, to put it a little more realistic.
"He- what!" Ly turned around too, her whole face in a shock.
Just like mine fucking was.
"He said and I am telling you exactly what stands here so don't fucking yell at me that it can not be r-" "WHAT DID HE SAY" I nod to myself. "I'll pick you up in thirty. Then I said no and he said yes and I said Kiernan even though i wanted to stop doing that- which seems a little problematic as his fucking Name is Kiernan but then he said 29 minutes so I think he's for real."
Lyric put the cup down on the counter and jumped around to me. "That is fucking amazing." "No! No Lyric it is not I don't even know where we're going and I am nit ready to go ANYWHERE with him. I wanted to ignore him from now on I literally told you all that."
"Well then you need to postpone the whole ignore thing by a few hours." I groaned and fell into the couch chair behind me. "But where are we even going?" "Ask him?"
"you think?" wouldn't that seem weird? "Yes?" okay honestly he was the weird one for simply not even asking if I had time and then ignoring that I did not have time. Maybe he was just as much of a red flag as Evan now that I think about it. I mean respect a no monsieur?
But also a little distraction from the whole thing wouldn't hurt either. Right?
But not that type of distraction, even though he did look really good when he had brought me home. To think that he had spend the day in the office working in that suit did something to me. I needed to stop it for real. I was going crazy oh my god. I needed to think straight, I was a mess.
"CASSIE" "YES" "Calm down. I made you tea and now you're getting ready."
"But for what?" I was so lost. I was no where near in a situation where I was able to go on a date. I had broken up with my boyfriend not even more than a day ago. I was a whore Jesus, but it also wasn't a date right?
C'mon it couldn't be. As long as I said it wasn't one it couldn't be one because for it to actually be called a date I would need to agree and so would he because consent is very important. Unlike other people have made it seem in the past.
"Give me your phone I will ask him." I handed her the phone, more unwillingly than normally.
"Don't worry I'm not gonna steal him." "Have him, I don't want him."
A shady look. "That was rude." I mumbled as I made my way into my room.
We had been seated here just a few minutes ago, talking about him and texting over my phone like 12 year olds. Not my fault that we had provoked it till here.
Or at least not fully mine, some of it was hers too.
"I texted, Where even are we going? With a double question mark."
I nodded as I started to redo my mascara. "That's good." "I'm always good Cass, that's why you're going on a date now." "It's not a date." "Yeah right sorry, we're in our hoe era for now." "Exactly, in dependent young lady."
"Great now get ready for dinner" "for dinner." "he simply said dinner, yup." "give me the phone."
I had it right back in my hand in no time. Just dinner. What the actual fuck, he needed to be at least a little more specific than that.
You: Be less specific next time
I just knew he was grinning on the other end of the phone. It made me absolutely furious.
