"Okay, I think they're calling me in. I love you so much, I'll call you later."Louis stood on the pavement a few meters away from the others with his phone held up to his ear. He wanted to call Clementine before going in the club because he knew he wouldn't be able to for a while. He smiles as she speaks, wishing she was with him.
"I love you back, have a good time. Be safe!" she exclaims at the end.
"I always am. Bye, beautiful."
He ends the call and slips the phone in his pocket, turning around and walking back to the two waiting for him. There was a long line of people that were barricaded, all awaiting entrance to the massive nightclub. The music was booming from the inside, almost making the ground shake. The neon sign of the club flashed above them, lighting up the sidewalk with flashes of colour.
Tommy had changed his attire to black jeans and a dark blue jacket with a clunky pair of boots, he figured going barefoot in a club might be frowned upon. Arisa had also changed into a long black dress that had two thin spaghetti straps hung over her slender shoulders, the neckline was a gentle V shape and the material shimmered gently as she moved.
They were stood outside of the queue.
"Sorry guys, I'm ready now," he smiles, adjusting his jacket. He had stayed in the same clothes as before.
"No sweat, let's go." Tommy puts out his cigarette on the floor and leads the two straight inside, having the power to have automatic access.
The grand first floor was littered with dancing bodies as the music played from the speakers. There were two staircases on either side of the dancefloor that lead up to the upstairs area, which had a long line of booths with more contained clubbers sat in. The bar was at the back of the building, a handful of stressed members of staff were stood behind the brightly-lit bar.
Tommy puts a hand on Louis's shoulder, leaning in so he could hear him over the music.
"You alright, man? Let's get a drink," he looks at him and waits for a sign of approval.
Louis nods and tries to speak over the volume, "I'm good, let's go!"
Arisa walks in front of the two men, being supported by Tommy's tattooed hand on her back. They reach the bar after hustling through the crowd of people.
One of the bartenders behind the bar sees Tommy and immediately walks over, smiling at him.
"Tommy, what can I get started for you?" he rests his elbows on the metal of the bar, glancing at the two stood beside him.
"We'll take a gin martini and two boulevardiers, my good man," he winks him, flashing a kind smile.
Louis looks down at him with an eyebrow raised, "You're getting a cocktail?"
"I'm getting both of us a cocktail, you've never had a boulevardier?" he exclaims, looking at him like he was insane.
"I can't say that I have," he laughs at his reaction, glancing at the bartender shaking the alcohol in the metal mixers with skill.
"It's a whiskey cocktail, probably the manliest cocktail that I can get away with."
Arisa smiles at him, "Yeah, manly."
"If you keep making fun of me, I'll drink your martini myself," he turns to her, smirking.
"I won't have trouble getting a free drink elsewhere," she says with a thin eyebrow raised. Louis watched as Tommy visibly shifted and readjusted his posture, as if he was flustered or uncomfortable - he couldn't tell the difference.
