"Or Isabella.." Louis suggests, looking down at the coffee table in front of him, deep in thought.
"That's a nice one," his girlfriend nods, grabbing a bowl of crisps and approaching him on the couch.
The dreadhead holds his arms open, signalling her to sit on his lap. So, she does. Clem carefully places herself sideways on his lap with the bowl in her lap. Louis rests a hand on her knees and the other wraps around her waist, holding her close against him.
The TV, which is hung on the wall in front of them, was playing a random game show that none of the teens were paying attention to. It was the afternoon and the lovers were hanging out in Louis' apartment, as Lee had allowed Clem to stay over.
It has been three weeks since the incident with Brad occurred.
The cut on Louis' cheek was still visible but the doctor said it wouldn't scar, which he was happy about.
"Good, I was afraid my modelling career was over," he joked with a smug grin towards his girlfriend, who rolled her eyes at the time.
Thanks to Clementine, he had come to the realisation that his dad was just a massive asshole and that Louis did nothing wrong that day. His father's words no longer upset him as much as they used to.
In more important recent events, Clementine had recently felt extremely sick and tried most hours of the day. He felt bad, but every time she would run off to the toilet to throw up, Louis would have the biggest smile on his face. He knew exactly what it meant, and he was over the moon.
"Or Victoria," Clem selects a chip from the bowl and chews it.
"Hmm.. yeah, that's a good one too." he takes a chip too, his squinted gaze attached to the low coffee table still.
"We really need to think about boy names too, we can't only come up with girl ones." she narrows her eyes at the man she was sat on.
Louis finally latches his eyes on to hers and he cocks an eyebrow.
"But I know it's a girl."
"Lou, that's impossible."
"If it's impossible then how do I know it's a girl?"
"You don't know it's a girl," she rolls her eyes, "you just want it to be."
"I don't mind at all if it's a girl or a boy! I just know it's a girl."
"Oh yeah, and how do you know that?"
Louis opens his mouth in a toothy smug grin.
"I have fatherly psychic powers."
Clem pauses and looks at him with absolutely no expression on her face at all. Several silent moments later, she replies.
"...That's ridiculous."
"What?" his voice randomly cracks and his smile disappears, "It's not ridiculous, it's true!"
"Louis, we don't even know if I'm actually pregnant yet."
"Yeah, about that," Louis leans over and puts the bowl of crisps on the coffee table, then he wraps both arms around the girl's small waist. Their eyes meet and he flashes a warm smile. "I bought a test yesterday, it's in the cabinet in the bathroom."
The brunette's eyes slowly widen. Obviously, she had strong suspicions that she was pregnant but taking the test would prove it, it would be a definite answer. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear at the thought. She wanted to have a baby with Louis, of course she did. But there was always the tiny odd thought of doubt and worry, like all soon-to-be mothers have.
