Walking to homeroom the next day, Clementine was in a weird mood. She wanted nothing more than to turn around and go home, but a part of her wanted to stay. Possibly because of Louis; she'd never admit it, nor did she even believe it herself. A part of her wanted to see that stupid smug grin of his.

She had on a navy over-sized sweatshirt that she had bought from a charity shop, fitted jeans and a pair of old trainers. Her hair was left down, curled and crazy like it was yesterday. Her basic makeup on too.

She was late, obviously. Clem strolls into the classroom and plops herself down in her seat beside Brody.

"Hey pretty, have you got your gym clothes? We have it fourth period," the innocent girl smiles at Clem, who nods in return. She briefly raises an eyebrow at the nickname Brody had developed for her. "Great. We have volleyball." This made Clem grin and stretch her arms.

"You're all going down."

Louis looks at her and smiles, "Oooh shit! I like that." Clem laughs and gives him a smile back.

Violet turns around in her chair and looks at Clem, chuckling, "So confident. Did you play volleyball at your old school?"

"That and a few other sports. Volleyball, tennis, netball. Ya know," Clem shrugs and crosses her arms.

Louis had his dark chocolate eyes glued to her since she entered the room, and as she spoke he listened intently. He enjoyed hearing her talk about her interests, and he was glad that he shared them.

"Don't forget we have football practice after school again today. The big game is only a few days away," Marlon nods at the dread headed boy, taking a sip from his water bottle.

Louis runs a hand through his messy dreads and sighs, "Don't remind me."

"You guys play football?" Clem looks at the two boys with a sharp eyebrow raised.

Marlon smiles proudly, "Hell yeah. Top of the team. Blue Devils all the way!" he shouts, earning a few cheers from other guys in class. "Look, you're already supporting us." he nods at Clementine's navy jumper.

"Is that what your jacket is for?" Clem looks down at his blue varsity jacket with yellow-orange tinted sleeves and a large D on the left side of his chest. She tilts her head at the letter, which he notices. "D is for Devils."

Louis smirks, "You sure it's not for Dickhead?"

Clementine softly chuckles at the comment and he grins from ear to ear as he listens to the angelic sound.

"Trust me, I'd rather be in the music room," he shakes his head, letting a few dreads run astray.

"You're a musician?" she tilts her head, her eyes wide with interest. Louis perks up in his chair.

"Clem, he's so good at the piano. Like, crazy. You should hear him play some time," Brody nods.

"I'd like that," she looks back at Louis, her mouth twitching into a smile as he lightly blushes.

"I'll throw on my best performance," he flashes a wink, making her laugh.

The bell rings and students sling their bags over their shoulders and walk out. Clem and Brody are stuck behind Marlon and Louis once again as their leaving homeroom.

Clementine rolls her eyes at their slow pace, "Slow pokes."

Louis smirks and lowers his pace only slightly, secretly loving annoying her.

Outside the classroom, a girl with long red hair and heavy makeup was waiting. She was clearly dressed to impress, and it made Clem wince. She couldn't lie, the girl was pretty.
