"Louis, I need to speak with you. Now."

The dreadhead looks up from his phone to the older man in front of him. His aged face was serious and seemed almost angry as he led his son to the spacious living room. They sit down a few seats away from each other, they never really had a close relationship anyway.

Louis had gone home early that morning so he could get ready for school. He didn't want to leave Clementine, especially when she was still feeling horrible. He wanted to stay in bed with her and do anything and everything he could to make her feel better, he didn't care if her illness was contagious, he didn't care at all. The only thing he cares about is her feeling better again.

He was about to leave his house and go to school but his dad had called him.

"What is it?" Louis slips his phone into his skinny jean's pocket and looks over at his dad.

"I understand that Clementine makes you happy, really I do. But happiness isn't the most important thing," he begins his explanation. Louis raises an eyebrow at the man, he didn't know half of it. Clementine is his happiness.

"What are you trying to say?" the boy was confused, why was he bringing up her?

"Let me finish. I fully supported your relationship with her but after Mr Addington's dinner party, I've changed my mind." his back straightened and his expression looked as though he had accomplished something.

Louis' eyes narrowed and his jaw tightened as his dad explained further.

"She's a delinquent, Louis. How she acted and what she said throughout that night is not acceptable, this family has standards. And Clementine does not come anywhere near those standards." the way his voice laced with venom as he said her name, made Louis' fingers twitch and his blood burn.

He couldn't quite believe what he was hearing. His dad didn't know Clementine like he did, he didn't understand how much she meant to him.

Louis couldn't picture his life without her; she was on his mind every minute of the day, his heart always skipped a beat when he thought of her beautiful smile and her soft curly hair and her perfectly shaped body, how smooth her skin was and how soft her touch was, how her long eyelashes slightly raised when she'd roll her amber eyes at his dumb jokes, the blissful feeling of her plump lips against him. Every little thing about her, he was deeply in love with.

"I won't tell you what to do. However I will strongly advise you to break up with her. As soon as possible."

Louis felt infuriated by his father's suggestion. The thought of breaking up with her had never once passed his mind, he had only thought about marrying her and spending the rest of his life with her. The thought of doing the exact opposite of that made his heart plummet to the floor, there was no way in hell he would break up with her. No fucking way.

Louis laughs softly and shakes his head, "Yeah, that's not happening."

Brad's eyes narrow and he crosses his arms.

"I'm not joking around, Louis. She's bad for business, we cannot let our reputation fall just because you have a fling with some stupid girl in your class."

Louis sprung up from his seat on the sofa, his fists clenched and eyebrows furrowed.

"It's not just a 'fling', dad! She's my girlfriend and I'm not leaving her, I don't give a shit what you say!" his loud voice bellowed at the man, who now stands up too.

"Don't you raise your voice at me! You and that girl are nothing but a stupid teenage romance, it will be all over and forgotten before you know it." the older man stands in front of his son with his arms uncrossed and now by his sides.
