Chapter 2

Y/n's POV:

It's been a few days since Hiccup decided to risk it and try and kill you in order for your powers to react. He did this several times. It wasn't great but it made you get used to your strange power.

You found out that you can manipulate any sort of plant or anything to do with nature. This made you understand more at to why the tips of your hair was practically green.

Humming a soft tune, you walked down the village streets, buying some food from the market. As you walked, your powers accidentally created a few flowers that marked your path from behind.

One of the villagers purposely nudged into your side, causing you to drop all the fruit. You glanced at the villager with a frown before picking everything back up. The villager just chuckled,
" I don't like you, girl. You're a freak who came out of nowhere,"

You where about to speak until the chief came up from behind them. You swear you saw their soul exit their body when they saw them. Hiccup didn't look happy at all. He looked pissed at the fact they had the audacity to call his best friend a freak.

Hiccup didn't banish him since it was way to harsh, so he made them apologise and help you with your shopping in your house. It was silent the whole time you did it, but at the end you thanked them and watched them leave.

Hiccup let out a heavy sigh,
" I apologise for their behaviour. You're not a freak Y/n, don't listen to them,"

You chuckled, telling him that it was fine.

The next morning, you woke up feeling heavier than usual. Your heard throbbed in pain as your body refused to cooperate with you. Sighing, you dragged yourself out of bed and got dressed.

Y/n

You flinched at the sudden feminine voice in your head. It was echoey and powerful. Confused, you looked around to see if anybody was in your room.
It was just you.

It's time for your power to grow. The first stage is complete.

You realised that the voice was coming from your plant in your room. You could speak to Mother Nature now. You quickly brushed your teeth and did your hair before running as fast as you can to Hiccup.

Once you found him, he noticed how you were out of breath from running, making him worry. You told him what you could do and he immediately wrote it down in pure awe. Whatever you are, he loved it and it made your heart warm up at the thought that someone didn't consider you as a freak, but an actual person.
