Chapter 23 - Surprises are Fun

(Cas' POV)

"Castiel," Deans dad says with a smile.

"Do you like burgers?"

What a crazy question. Burgers make me happy. "I love burgers." But I guess he wouldn't know that.

John, Deans dad, made the burgers and we all ate and talked. It was nice to be able to get to know John, and Sam a bit better.

After dinner, Dean walks me out to his car.

"It seems you've made a good impression." Dean says to me as I lean against his car.

"I really hope so.." I grin.

Dean stands in front of me and places a hand on each side of me. Then he moves closer so our bodies are touching.

"You're an amazing guy, who wouldn't love you? I know I love you." And he leans in and kisses me.

"Get a room!" We hear so we turn and see Sam shouting from his bedroom window. Dean and I just chuckle and go back to kissing.

(The next day)

Dean and I are standing by his car, we just got out of school. I'm leaning against it and he's standing in front me.

"You know.. I think we should do something today." He says to me.

"What do you mean? Like what?" I ask, confused. He steps away and leans against the impala next to me.

"I want to go out, and do something. Something fun! With you."

"What did you have in mind?"

"Actually..I think I want it to be a surprise."

"Ugh." I groan.

Dean chuckles and then kisses me softly on my lips. "I don't even have it all thought out yet. But you'll like it." He kisses me again.

I grab his face and hold it so he doesn't move away. I could kiss his soft, sweet lips all day.

Dean picks me up from my house at six-thirty. Apparently we are skipping school tomorrow. I don't know how convinced our parents to allow that though.

The whole car ride was torture because he wouldn't tell me where we were going until we pulled up to a resteraunt.

"Dinner?" I ask, even though it's a dub question.

Dean nods in response, "Italian." Then gets out of the car.

I get out too and we both walk to the entrance and he opens the door for me.

When we get seated in a booth, Dean sits across from me. We begin to look at our menus as the waiter pours us glasses of ice water.

"Can I get you started with anything else to drink?" He asks us.

"I'll take a coke." Dean smiles.

"Uh, I'll have a sprite, please." I smile at the waiter as well.

He nods, "I'll be back shortly." And he walks off.

"Sorry this isn't a super fancy resteraunt." Dean says to me.

"What?" I raise an eyebrow. "Dean this is perfect." And give him a reassuring smile and he looks up at me from his menu. The way the light reflects on his eyes gives me butterflies in my stomach. His eyes look greener than usually, and beautiful.
