Chapter 12 - It will be okay

**Monday after school**

(Cas' POV)

"How much do you love me?" I ask Dean. I'm laying on the couch while Dean sits, and my head is in his lap, looking up at him. We were watching tv so he looks down at me.

"You already know how much I love you, Cas," he smiles at me and I just blush a bit because his smile always did that to me.
"Why?" He asks me.

"Oh I was just wondering..." I turn my head back to the TV.

"Cas what is it?" He makes me sit up so we can talk face to face better.

"Well...my older brother, Ezequiel, and I... We are going on a trip.."

"Well that sounds fun, Cas, I don't know why-"

"We'll be gone two weeks Dean.." I cut him off. "We are going to Texas because he wants to visit some of our other family.. He asked if I wanted to go and my mom is okay with it.."

"Oh.. Well.." He looked down. I could tell by the expression on his face that he's really upset. "Sounds fun." He sits back into the couch and puts his eyes back to the television screen.

"Dean..." I reach for his hand but he doesn't acknowledge me. "Dean I'm sorry."

He just frowns then looks at me. "Cas you have nothing to be sorry for. You did nothing wrong.." He kisses my cheek, "I'm just going to miss you."

"I know.. I'll miss you two.. But it's only two weeks, I'll be back before you know it!"

Putting a little happiness into this could help.. A little.

"When do you leave?"

This was the part that was going to be very upsetting to him.

"Tomorrow..." Immediately, Deans facial expression changed to a deeper frown.

"Oh.."

"Dean, it's only two weeks. It's okay!" I hate to see him like this.

"I know, I know.." He shakes his head. "I'm fine!"

"Are you sure?"

"Mhm," he half smiles. But I knew he was lying.

**the next day**

(Dean's POV)
Cas just left, we said our goodbyes, er, "see ya later"s according to him, and he left. He got in the car with Zeke and left.

It will be okay though, it's just two weeks. I'm sure I can survive two weeks without Castiel...

**four days later**

"You miss him?" Charlie teases me. We were hanging out more lately, and it was nice. I like to be friends with Cas' friends. Plus I didn't have much friends. I had Chuck, Lisa, Cas, and Sammy. Sorta Gabe but not really. He's just there for Sam. I should try to make some more friends since I'm going to be staying here longer than expected.

"Of course I do!" I roll my eyes at her as I sit at the table. We are at my house, we had just gotten back from dinner at Castiels house. Since him and Zeke are gone, their mom, Anna, invited Charlie, Sammy and I to come over for dinner. It was nice. I never actually had the chance to meet her, but Cas told her about me. It was nice that their family is so accepting.

Anyways. Charlie just came back here to hangout with me since she knew I'd be lonely and bored since Sam stayed with Gabriel.

"He'll be back soon before you know it, Dean." She reassured me. "You two are weird though. You guys met like three weeks ago and you two act like its been months."

She wasn't wrong. I don't know what it is about Castiel, but he just makes me feel so happy when I'm with him. It feels like we've known each other for ages.

"You're just jealous," I joke with her.

"Oh whatever." This time she rolls her eyes at me. I just laugh at her and go poor myself a glass of water.

"You two sure are cute though." She adds.

I smile at this and say "I know." Because I know it's true.

**7 days later.**

Cas called and said he'd be gone for a few more days. I can't do a few more days. I'm losing my mind. We haven't talked like at all since he left, so that made it a bit harder.

I go lay down on the couch and Sammy is already sitting on the ground, eating cereal. Even though it's eleven am.

I felt my phone vibrate so I got a bit excited hoping its Cas, but it isn't. It's an un saved number.

???-(11:13am) HEY..

Me-(11:-14)WHOSE THIS

???-(11:16am) YOUR EX.. I WANTED TO APOLOGIZE

What the heck. Why is he texting me.. We haven't talked in a couple months.

Me-(11:19am) OKAY WHAT

Him-(11:23am) I ACTUALLY LIVE IN KANSAS NOW

Me-(11:25am) HOWD YOU KNOW IM HERE?

Him-(1127am) IM FRIENDS WITH CHARLIE

I probably shouldn't be doing this, but he sounded really sincere. I'm meeting him at the diner to talk. This is going to be crazy. My ex, I was only with him for about two months and it was mostly all sex. That was until he did something stupid and ruined it for us. He thought that just because I was going to be leaving soon, that it's okay to go have ex with some random girl.

When I got to the diner to meet up with him, he wasn't there yet. I went and sat down at a booth to wait. I ordered a slice of pie because I was pretty hungry and it was already a few after twelve.

"Of course you ordered pie." I hear a familiar voice say. That's when I look up and see him there.

Sorry for late chapter. I've been busy. Sorry it's kinda short too. Oh well.
