Chapter 26 - He'll Be Okay

* The Next Day *

( Cas' POV)

After school, Charlie, Sam, Gabe and I, all went back to the hospital. I guess my mom went there while we were at school and yelled at John for what he said to me. I guess she really got to him because he called me earlier and apologized to me. I forgave him because like Charlie said, he probably didn't even mean it. I know that when people are upset/angry, they say things they don't mean.

When we got to the hospital, John isn't in Deans room so Sam goes to find him. I sit by deans side and hold his hand. I feel an ache inside my chest, causing my eyes to tear up. Charlie sits next to me and puts her hand on my arm.

"It's okay, Cas." She tells me.

I don't know what to say, so I don't say anything at all

Gabriel sits on the other side of Deans bed.
"Yeah, It'll be okay big brother." He half smiles at me.

I look down at my feet,  "I really hope you guys are right..."

The ache in my chest grows stronger, and some tears slide down my cheeks.

Sam comes in, John following behind, so I immediately. I don't want him to see me this way. John comes over to me and stands behind me. I feel his hands on my shoulders, and he squeezes gently.

"It's okay, Cas."

Cas? Did John Winchester just call me, Cas? That's really weird...

"I'm sorry for what you're going through. I know you two are very close. But remember, he's my son, and Sam's brother. So we're dealing with things too. I just..." He pauses. "I'm sorry, Castiel."

I turn to look at him and see he's looking at Dean with sad eyes.

"I'm still trying to get used to you and Dean.. Well.. Being together.. I only just found out three days ago.." He says.

I stand up and face him, "I know. I'm sorry, Sir. I'm sorry for what happened to Dean. I'm sorry for what you're going through." I turn to face Sam, "I'm sorry for what you're going through, too, Sam." Then I just look down at the ground. "I'm just.. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Cas." Sam says.

"Yeah, it's okay." John pulls me in for a hug.

It felt kind of awkward and weird to have Deans dad hug me. But I didn't want to do anything wrong so I just hug him back.

I look at Charlie, as John and I hug, and she's giving me a half smile.

We get interrupted by beeping noises coming from Deans machines.
Two nurses come rushing in and starting messing with the machines, probably trying to figure out what's going on.

"He's crashing." One says.

"Get them out of here!" The other says and the first nurse begins pushing us out of the door.

"No! Stop!" Sam yells out. "Dean!"
But we're all pushed out of the door.
I turn around and kick a wall. "Ahh!"
I'm so mad. But also terrified.

Another nurse comes up to us, "How about you all go and wait in the waiting room."

"No! I want to know what's going on with my son!" John says, anger in his tone.

"Sir, they are doing everything they can in there. They'll let us know happening. But for now, can you sit in the waiting room, please?"

Charlie and Gabe hesitate but nod their heads before they begin to walk away. Charlie stops, turns around to face us, and says, "come on guys. There's nothing we can do here. so we might as well go sit down."
