CHAPTER 15: SEEING BLACK

The others were Morphed as all of them started to fight the Tronics. "Where's Kanan? Shouldn't she be here by now?" Natsuo asked. "We really need her help" Roxy said. "She went for a jog, she can't be far off right now" Ravi said as I appeared. "Sorry I was late" I said as I'm fighting some Tronics. "Kanan" Blaze said. "What?" Ravi and Natsuo questioned. "What's happening" Roxy said. They continued to fight off the Tronics.

Liam fired at me as I deflected his attacks. The others stood next to me. "You don't stand a chance against the seven of us" Roxy said. I went to fight Liam and Burnertron. "Kanan" Nate said. "What?" Natsuo said. Nate and Steel tried to attack Burnertron but I got to him first. Liam and Burnertron ended up retreating. "Chicken!" I said as I demorphed.

The others demorphed as they came up to me. "That was really something" I said. "Yeah, it's something alright" Ravi said. "Huh? What's wrong with you guys?" I asked. "To start off with, you really messed up our attack" Steel said. "Plus, you were kinda late" Roxy said. "Well, nothing bad happened. Luckily, when the Fury Cell burned down...I just snagged a new one" I said as I held up the burned down Fury Cell.

Nate took it. "Interesting, it seems like that every time you use Fury Mode, it uses a part of the cell. Better be careful Kanan, even that new one won't last forever" Nate said. "Relax, with this awesome power, Evox is on the ropes. Let's go to Riptide" I said. "You guys go, I have some lab work to do" Nate said. All of us left.

All of us were at Riptide Gym. "Have any of you noticed that Kanan is acting a little weird and strange?" Roxy asked. "If by strange or weird and you mean by self absorbed and totally rude, then yeah" Steel said. "Hey guys, here is your drinks" I said. The others took their drinks. "I'll be right back" I said. "What's she doing now?" Natsuo asked. I started to 'train' with some people in the middle of the gym. "Is that what you mean by weird and strange, right?" Blaze asked.

I continued to 'train'. The others walked up to me. Natsuo cleared his throat, catching my attention. "The Commander just called, we need to go back to the command center, like now" Roxy said. "But I'm not finished" I said. "Let's go" Steel said. "Fine" I said as I returned the gear back to the trainers.

All of us were back at Grid Battleforce. "This is a simulation of Kanan's DNA. I, uh...took a hair sample earlier today" Nate said. "You took my hair?" I questioned. "You've been acting really strange" Nate said. "It's that Fury Cell, isn't it?" Ravi said. "It's affecting your brain functions" Commander Shaw said. "Humane responses are being stripped away and they're being replaced something more primal plus it's affecting your dragon spirit as well. The Fury Cell is making you really bad" Nate said. "I feel really great. I really like helping people" I said. "Like this police officer?" Commander Shaw said, showing us the news.

"I might be a reckless at times but I'm not hurting anyone...except for Robotron's" I said. "These effects could be permanent. Kanan, you got to take it off" Nate said as he tried to take the Fury Cell from me. "No way! This Fury Cell is our best chance to defeat Evox for good" I said. "You can't do this on your own" Roxy said. "We need to be working as a team" Natsuo started to say but he got interrupted. "You don't even have a plan" Ravi said. "You're hurting the team Kanan" Commander Shaw said. "Oh really? Maybe I don't need a team" I said. "What?" Steel said. "If you won't help me...then I'll do it without you! Just watch!" I said as I left the room.

"Kanan...should we stop her?" Steel asked. "I think that it's ok for now. There's not much left of that Fury Cell...it wouldn't be enough to turn her evil forever" Nate said. "Let's just hope that it's the last one" Roxy said. "Yeah" I said. Commander Shaw communicator beeped. "Tronics in Sector Tango 5-1" an agent said. "Move out" Commander Shaw said. All of us left.
