CHAPTER 18: REWRITING HISTORY

All of us were at the park as we saw Steel. "There you are Steel...we've been looking for you everywhere. What's so fascinating?" Nate said. "I was wondering...is having a pet a common thing for humans?" Steel asked. "Totally, they're great companions. I used to have a kitten named Luna" Roxy said. "Mom gave me a turtle named Napoleon when I was six. Used to swim in the bath tub" Ravi said. We laughed a little. "I had a dog named Carson, he used to sleep with me every night" Blaze said. "I didn't have time for any pets cause I was training to become a Pro Hero so I have Storm since he's more like a friend" Kanan said. "My dad won't let me or my brothers and sister have any pets so I have to agree with Kanan" I said.

"That's it then. It's time I really explore my human side. I am getting a pet" Steel said. "Y-You're going to be looking after a pet?" Roxy asked. "Sure. Why not?" Steel asked. "Caring for an animal is a really big responsibility" Ravi said. "You're an awesome Ranger but not exactly pet owner material" Blaze said. "I can totally look after a pet. Remember, I have animal DNA in me, I'll be a natural" Steel said. "I tell you what bro. If you can take care of a potted plant for an entire week, I will take you pet shopping" Nate said as Steel laughed a little. "It will be a piece of cake but where do I get a plant?" Steel asked. All of us laughed a little. "Come on, I can take you to the flower shop" I said. "Great, you will not regret this" Steel said. We went to the flower shop.

"You're so adorable...all green and leafy" Steel said as he watered his plant named Spot. "So I'll name you Spot" Steel said. He turned around to see me frozen. "What do you think Natsuo? Natsuo? What's wrong with you? And what is with this weird energy?" Steel asked as he waved his hand in front of my face. "Ah, a robot! Where'd you come from?" I asked. "You don't remember a thing? Its me, Nate's brother. The mighty Silver Ranger" Steel said.

"Ha, good one" I said as I started to walk away. "That energy did something to you. You know you're the White Ranger...right?" Steel asked. "What? Leave me alone, ok?" I said as I left him standing there. 'Huh? Is it just me or there was something wrong with his memory?' Steel thought. 

Steel was following me. "Stop following me Robo Dude" I said. "But we're friends" Steel said as he kept on following me. "How do I convince him? How would you like to try out one of the Grid Battleforce's Simulator?" Steel asked. "Wait...you can get me into their simulator?" I said. "Sure can, just follow me" Steel replied.

The two of us were outside Grid Battleforce. "Wow, this place is pretty awesome" I said. "Wait Natsuo, that's Liam. He's heading inside...quick we better take some cover" Steel said. The two of us hid behind a car. "What are we hiding from? I never seen those guys before except for one person" I said. "That's the rest of our team" Steel replied. "Yeah, cool story bro" I said.

"Why are the five of them acting like friends?" I asked. "Firstly...you don't remember that you're a Ranger and now this? Wait, this has got to be their evil plan. Evox has done something to mess with everyone's memories" Steel said. "Then how can you remember all of this stuff?" I asked him. "Cause I am one of a kind. The bad guys always forget that I'm half robot. Their mind tricks don't pull my circuits" Steel said.

Ben and Betty appeared behind us. "Hey! You two are trespassing!" Betty said. "Ben and Betty must be affected too" Steel said. "Those are Grid Battleforce communicators" Ben said. "You two stole them...hand them over now" Betty said.

"Where did this come from? Sure, you can take it" I said as I handed my communicator over to Ben. "No Natsuo, wait" Steel said as he tried to stop me. "You too, buster" Betty said. "Sorry guys, this one's mine" Steel said. "Then you leave us no choice" Betty said. "Let's grab him" Ben said. Ben and Betty grabbed onto Steel's arm. "You're coming with us" Betty said. "Hey, careful guys, Spot's fragile. Detach arm" Steel said as his arm had gotten detached. The detached arm is distracting Ben and Betty. "Follow me, hurry" Steel said to me. The two of us left.
