CHAPTER 27: BEAST KING AND DRAGON RAMPAGE

All of us were at Grid Battleforce. "Listen up, Grid Battleforce. Me and the Mayor have been working on a top secret project and today you get to see it in action. Hmm, it seems they are running a little bit late but maybe I could give you a little sneak peak, if I can remember on how this thing works" General Burke said.

"Here, plug this in" General Burke said as he handed a worker his camera. "What's this top secret project they have been working on?" I asked. "I have no idea" Commander Shaw said. The screen showed Ben and Betty doing karate moves. "Dad, wrong video" Ben said. "Turn it off" Betty said. "Fast forward to the good stuff" General Burke said. "Dad" Ben said.

All of us were laughing a little bit. "How do you stop this thing?" Betty said. "Hey, uh, practice makes perfect" Ravi said. "Oh no, that's me" General Burke said. Then General Burke unplugged the camera. All of us were holding in our laughter. "I'm afraid that this video camera is defective" General Burke said, handing the camera to Ben. "Yeah. Don't worry, we will fix it" Ben said. "No problem" Betty said. "Technology these days" Ben said. Ben and Betty left the room.

"General Burke, what's your secret project?" Commander Shaw asked. "Ah, yes. That would be the Beast X King Zord and the Beast X Dragon Zord" General Burke said. "Did you say Zords?" Nate asked. "You are kidding, right?" Blaze said. "Not just any Zords, it's a top notch piece of technology made with Lion and Dragon DNA, the plan is to build lots of them to protect the global network of Morph X Towers" General Burke said.

"You built Zords without involving Grid Battleforce" Commander Shaw said as she went up to him. "The Rangers were getting too busy keeping the city safe, this project won't disturb your operation one teensy weensy bit. We have our own designers and one of them used to work here. And here they are now" General Burke said. Megan, Mayor Daniels and another assistant entered the room.

"Mr Mayor, Megan?" Blaze said. "Hey everyone" Megan said. "These two submitted an amazing design, their knowledge and their experience makes them the right people for this top secret assignment. They have done a great job" Mayor Daniels said.

"When the Mayor told us about this project, the two of us really wanted to do was help" Megan said. "Let's show them" General Burke said when Megan and the assistant walked up in front of us. "These activators summons the Beast X King Zord and the Beast X Dragon Zord, for the purposes of this test, the two of us will control it from our tablet. Now, I'll just bring up the cameras, ok this is Pine Ridge Woods, just outside of Coral Harbor. Ready, deploy Beast X King Zord" Megan said. "Deploy Beast X Dragon Zord" the assistant said.

The mountain has been parted and the Beast X King Zord and the Beast X Dragon Zord has been revealed to us. "Woah, are you see this? It is really a Lion Zord" Steel said. "And a Dragon Zord, cool" Natsuo said. "Just as majestic as we hoped" General Burke said.

Suddenly, the two Zords were glowing purple. "Wait, what was that glow?" Nate asked. "That's really weird" Megan said. "What's going on?" General Burke asked. "We've commanded the Zords to stand down but they aren't responding" Megan said.

The two Zords shot out fire and a plasma attack at the nearby trees. "Woah, did you two tell them to do that?" Blaze said. "No. There's some kind of malware, the Zords are completely out of our control" Megan said. "Maybe that glow on the Zords was...did you two install a firewall against the virus?" Nate asked. "Well, we were about to but..." Megan started to say. "You two didn't. It's Evox, he's taking control of the two Zords" Nate said.

"Blaze, Kanan...get out there in the Dragon and Racer Zords and stop them from doing any real damage" Commander Shaw said. "Roger that" Blaze said. "You can count on us, Commander" I said as the two of us left the room. "We don't understand what went wrong" Megan said.
