CHAPTER 11: TOOLS OF THE BETRAYED

A/N: I would be skipping 'Real Steel' so the next one would be when Kanan would be returning to Kyushu to celebrate Ren's 5th birthday in 'Ren's 5th Birthday Has Arrived'

All of us were in Riptide Gym, doing some training. Blaze, Roxy, Ravi and Natsuo were currently blindfolded. "Alright, Kanan. Where are you?" Roxy said. I alerted the four of them as I started to go after them. "Try to feel your beast instincts. You can't always on your eyesight" I said. I used my bo staff to make some noise as I slid my foot across the mat. Blaze, Roxy, Ravi and Natsuo managed to pick up on the noise and went after me. "That's more like it" I said. I blocked their incoming attacks. "That's it...that's it" I said. "That was really cool with our blindfolds on, I can feel my beast instincts kicking in" Roxy said. "Agreed" Natsuo said. "Yeah" Blaze and Ravi said in unison. "That's exactly the point" I said.

Ben and Betty walked in as the two of them came up to us. "Delivery for Kanan Takami" Betty said. "This came for you. It says that it's a special delivery" Ben said. I took the package from them as I was reading the note. The note said: 'To my cute little songbird, I hope that you would like the surprise that I got for you. This would be definitely the one that you would really really like. Also, happy birthday songbird. From your lovebird...Keigo'. I opened the package to see gifts of chocolates and a plush of himself in his hero outfit in there. "Who sent you the box?" Ravi asked. "It's from my husband. I really like the gifts that he sent me" I said. "Oh yeah, you told us about your husband" Blaze said.

Natsuo's communicator beeped. "Go ahead" Natsuo said. "Liam's been spotted in Sector Echo 6-8. Nate and Steel are heading there now. I am transmitting coordinates to you" Commander Shaw said. "Roger that" Natsuo said as all of us left.

All of us appeared where Nate and Steel was. "Sorry we're late" Blaze said. "Glad to see you guys" Nate said. "Transport!" we shouted as all of us summoned our blasters. "Let's go" I said as all of us started to fight. I'm doing some acrobatics and fired at the Tronics. "That's the end of that" Roxy said. "Great job, come on" Ravi said. "Let's go" Natsuo said.

All of us went up to Blaze. "Did Liam get away?" Steel said. "Yeah" Blaze replied. "Rats, he always does that" Steel said. "Don't worry, he left with his Robotron Maker in pieces" Blaze said. "Let's tell the Commander the good news" Nate said. All of us were heading back to Grid Battleforce.

All of us were back at Grid Battleforce. Nate was working on his Gigadrone Detector. "The final piece is in and that's how you assemble the Gigadrone Detector" Nate said. "Right on, what's it for?" Steel said. "These detectors will warn us when a Gigadrone will arrive" Nate said. "So more surprise attacks? Like that Drilling Gigadrone that snuck up on us from underground. I hated that guy" Roxy said. "Me too" Natsuo said. "Nate, that's genius" Ravi said. "All of us need to set these detectors around the city" I said. 

"Make sure you choose a location where the public won't notice the devices" Commander Shaw said. "And you will need to assemble them on site. Since each of them will require a different configuration" Nate said. "Each Ranger will take a unit. Ben and Betty, you guys will build this together as a team. Let's get to work" I said. Blaze and Roxy finished setting up theirs.

All of us were back at Grid Battleforce after setting up the Gigadrone Detector in the location that we were assigned to. "Kanan's on her way back. Let's get started" Commander Shaw said. "Yes, Commander. Huh? Station six isn't working...that's Kanan's unit" Nate said. "Let me know when you get it back online" Commander Shaw said and left the room. "Weird...can we take a look?" Ravi asked. "There's a security camera I can access. Here it is" Nate said. All of us saw the detector parts on the ground.  "What the...it looks like Kanan didn't even built her detector yet" Blaze said.
