CHAPTER 4: DIGITAL DECEPTION

{THE TAKAMI RESIDENCE IN FUKUOKA, KYUSHU}

The following morning, I woke up from my bed, had a quick shower and got changed into my hero outfit {minus the jacket as I'm going to be putting it on later when I'm at the agency with Ren}. I made my way downstairs to make mine, Rose and Ren's breakfast. A few minutes later, Rose and Ren made their way down the stairs, went into the dining area and sat down at the table {Rose was in her school uniform and Ren was in his normal clothes by the time the two of them came down}. "Morning daddy"  the two of us said. "Morning my two little chicks" I said.

I put their breakfast onto the table as I poured some apple juice into their plastic cups. When I was about to have my breakfast, someone rang the doorbell. "Stay here, ok" I said as I got up from my seat. "Ok daddy" the two of them said as they continued to eat their breakfast. I went to open the door.

"Delivery for Keigo Takami?" the delivery driver asked. "Yeah, that's me" I said. "Sign here please" he said. I've signed the piece of paper that was on the clipboard as he handed me a box with some flowers. "Thanks...bye" I said as I closed the door and went back into the kitchen. 

"Who was at the door daddy?" Rose questioned. "And what's in the box?" Ren questioned as well. "The delivery man and I don't know" I said as I put the box down and put the flowers in a jug that was filled with water.

I saw a note on top of the box. I got the note from the box as I opened the piece of paper and read it. The note said: 'Happy Valentines Day lovebird. Hope you like the gifts that I sent you - from your songbird...Kanan'. I opened the box using one of my feathers. I saw a couple boxes of chocolates and a teddy bear holding a heart saying 'I beary love you' in there as I smiled a little and I left the box on the counter and continue to have my breakfast before I'm taking Rose to school and go to the agency with Ren.

Today's Valentine's Day. Me, Blaze, Roxy and Natsuo were in Riptide Gym, waiting for Ravi.

"Sure you don't want one?" Blaze asked as he was holding a plate of heart shaped cookies towards Roxy.

"Not for me, unfortunately. I really like my carrots" Roxy said.

Ravi arrived and sat down at the table where all of us were sitting.

"Do you want a Valentine's Day cookie?" Blaze asked.

"Not today, I'm not a big fan of the holiday" Ravi said as he pushed the plate a little.

"How about you Natsuo, Kanan?" Blaze asked.

"Sure, I'll take one" Natsuo said as he took a cookie from the plate. "Yeah, I'll take one too" I said as I took a cookie from the plate as well.

"Hey Kanan" Roxy said as I looked at her. "I noticed a ring on your finger. Are you married to someone? If you are, did you send him anything?" she asked.

I nodded my head a little. "Oh...you noticed. Yeah, I'm married to the soon to be number 2 Pro Hero Hawks. And yeah, I did send him something but I doubt that I would get anything from him and besides, it isn't the end of the world if he forgets" I said.

The others got a shock expression on their faces but nodded.

Roxy's communicator beeped. She answered it. "Go ahead" she said.
