Cass had been dying to talk to Harry, and as she finally found him, her heart dropped. He was sitting alone in the astronomy tower, close to the railing with his feet draped over the edge. His friends were nowhere near to be found and the expression on his face showed that they weren't looking for him either.

She had a feeling in her stomach that she knew what he felt. She had never been in such a situation as he was right now, but she, too, had felt alone and helpless.

She sat down next to him and the younger boy slowly looked up at her.

"Hey Harry." She smiled at him, "Dunno if you still remember me, but i'm Sirius' niece."

"Cassiopeia, right?" He said low, his voice not louder than a whisper. He was confused about her presence, but in his position, he took any company he got.

She smiled and nodded.

"Sirius asks a lot about you in his letters. I always tell him, he should just write to you, but he's very stubborn." He pressed his lips into a thin line and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Oh I know, believe me." She chuckled, "Our relationship is not so keen on owls. You can tell him, next time he asks, that I am completely fine, just a little tired from school."

The younger one looked up at the girl and smiled softly, "I will." He gave her a nod.

They sat there in silence for a few minutes before Harry spoke up once again, "Not to be rude, but why are you even here? We barely talk, let alone hang out. Actually I can't even recall the last time we exchanged a word and now you're here?"

Cass sighed and bit the tissue inside her cheek, "I know. It's just- I've seen the pins students are wearing and you are barely hanging out with your friends. It was a stupid idea but I just wanted to see how you are doing. If you aren't well, Sirius worries and I hate when he does that."

A small smile tugged on the corners of his lips as he looked up at the sky, "Thank you. Nobody believes me when I say that I did not want to participate in this. I wish I could just stay out of trouble and have a normal year for once." He sighed.

"Oh I believe that." She snickered airily, "Don't know if you care but I believe you. I don't even understand why someone wants to participate in this wicked excuse of a tournament."

"Me neither." He huffed and shook his head.

"If it helps, I support you and if you need help with anything, or frankly just a friend to sit with, i'm there for you. We might not be close but you're technically family right?" She raised and eyebrow and chuckled at the last part.
