"Morning Rem." Cass said as she entered his still empty classroom. She always came a little earlier than all the other students, so she could talk to Remus, her somewhat step-dad.

"Morning Kiddo." He said with a smile, not bothering to correct that it was already afternoon. He looked up from his papers and gestures her to come up to his desk.

"I'll have to tell you, Snape's class was so exhausting. I almost died of boredom." She scoffed while putting her bag down in the corner of the classroom. She wasn't even wondering why there were no desks and chairs. He always did his lessons pretty good anyways.

He chuckled.

"I understand." He nods, stroking his beard for a moment, "Do you know Fred Weasley by any chance?"

She nodded and put a strand of hair behind her ear while sitting down before his desk, "He's a Gryffindor in my year, but we've rarely hung out ever. I don't think he is particularly fond of me."

She knew Fred Weasley, he was a funny guy, who would pull pranks on everyone with his brother. He had those brown eyes and ginger hair, just like the rest of his family did. She doubted that he had ever looked at her like that to even know her eye color. He was the famous prankster in the school.

"I'm sure that's not true. How could anyone not be fond of you?" He asked sarcastically.

"Oh how nice of you uncle Remus." Cass rolled her eyes and rested her head in her hands while looking at him intensely.

It was his first day back after another full moon and she immediately noticed the new scar tracing from his ear down under his clothes, where she couldn't see.

He cleared his throat and straightens his posture slightly in his seat, "Anyways, the boy is smart but not extraordinary in Defense and I was thinking, you could help him maybe, since you are pretty much my top student. The O.W.L.'s are pretty close already so the boy might need some extra help."

"Have you talked to him about it yet?" She raised her eyebrows at his comment.

"No, I am planning on talking to him after class. I just wanted to ask you first." He swallowed, "So tell me, would you be interested?"

"Hm, sitting in a classroom with another student I barely know, studying Defense after hours instead of doing something useful in my free time? Sounds like fun." She uttered sarcastically and right as she wanted to clear up her words, students started coming into the classroom and taking their places, at least as much as they could do that without desks.
