Comet's POV:

"... Tragedy today as a rampaging lobster man destroyed four city blocks", the female news reporter said, "Miraculously, no one was injured, but one cyclist mourns the loss of his new bike." The cameraman focused on the cyclist. "Oh, it was our first outing together. Now I have nothing", he said, covering his eyes and seemingly completely distraught.

Marco finally turned the TV off and turned to us sitting on the couch/floor in front of the couch. "Yeah, you know how the news sensationalizes things", Marco weakly tried to convince us all. He then told Lobster Claws: "I still believe you can be good. But until then, I'm gonna find some rubber bands for your claws." Star opened her mouth to say something. "Save it", Marco intervened before she could get to say something. He left the room, and Lobster Claws groaned as he let himself fall back into the couch.

"Why is being good so hard?!", he whined.

I look to the ground, slightly annoyed by his antics. No one was forcing him to be good, so if he didn't find the motivation in him to change himself, why should we make such a hard effort to do so? Our efforts would be useless if he wasn't ready to put his own effort into it too. I sighed silently, disgusted by my own thoughts for being so hateful.

"The problem is Marco's trying to make you something you're not. You're a vile, repulsive monster. Why fight it?", Star said, standing up. She really did not have any kind of filter between her thoughts and her mouth. "Yeah. I am repulsive. I shouldn't be helping humans. I should be hurting them. You two in particular", Lobster Claws said, and looked at us. "And I wish I could just get back to smashing your face! Maybe there's a way we can both get what we want", Star added and smiled suggestively at the two of us. Just as she did whenever she was ready to drag me into something that was either crazy and/or reckless.

Star and I were lying in a hammock side by side, pretending to be asleep. Star was snoring extra loudly. "Star, that is not how you sleep", I whispered. "Ludo doesn't know that", Star whispered back, "Scooch, I need more space." "You already have loads of spACE!", I whisper-gasped, as the hammock started swinging around from Star's sudden movement. We almost both fell out from it, were it not for us holding onto one another. When the hammock stopped, Star and I looked at each other in surprise, before starting to giggle. "Shush", Star said between her laughs. I tried desperately to regain a stoic face.

We heard a portal opening up and returned to our sleeping act. "Shh", Ludo hushed his army. I could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer, and I tried to peek a little without being noticed. Just as Ludo was standing right at our hammock, trying to reach out for Star's wand.

"Ludo!", Star said and sat up. I mirrored her actions and looked at the surprised monsters. "We were just dreaming about kicking your butt." "We? Since when do twins share dreams?", Ludo asked. "Oh yeah! We don't", Star corrected herself, and we jumped from the hammock (somehow), and started fighting the monsters. It was not long until Marco heard the ruckus we were making. "Star! Comet!", he exclaimed and dashed through the garden-turned-battlefield, "They're back?!"

"Yeah. We lured them here to get Lobster Claws his old job back. I'm gonna let him beat me up. Play along", Star whispered before blasting away another monster. "What?! That's crazy! Comet, you actually agreed to this?!", Marco asked. "Well, yeah. I'm sorry to break it to you Marco, but some creatures don't want to change for the better. And Lobster Claws is way happier doing his job than pretending to be something he's not", I replied.

"All right, Ludo. I got more than cupcake this time!", Star yelled extra loudly, since it was Lobster Claws cue to play his part. But he did not appear. "Uh, I said, 'I got more than cupcakes this time!'", Star repeated. Finally, Lobster Claws seemed to have heard her, for he appeared from behind the fence.

"Go, red boy", he yelled and threw a punch at Star. It completely missed, yet Star pretended it to have hit her and staggered back. "Ahh", she faked  a surprised scream. "Booyaksha! Don't worry boss. I got this!", Lobster Claws exclaimed to Ludo, who was now standing next to me and Marco with a confused look. "'Boss'? Didn't I fire you?", he stammered. He, his crew of monsters, Marco and I all stood by one another, watching the 'fight' unfold.

"You know, he has gotten way better", one monster mumbled. "Very impressed", another agreed. "Yes, yes, I do see marked improvement. But I'd really be impressed if you would just GRAB THE WAND!", Ludo said, screeching the last part out to Lobster Claws.

"He's defeated me! Ahh!", Star still pretended, and fell to the ground. Suddenly, Lobster Claws ripped her wand out of her hand. "Hey!", Star exclaimed. "Wha- That was not part of the plan!" I ran up to Star and pointed my wand towards Lobster Claws. "Return that wand immediately! It's property of the royal family!", I demanded.

Star's wand cracked in Lobster Claws hand and turned from its usual form to a black-eye form with purple thorns. Lobster Claws eyes tuned black and purple as well. "What's... happening... to me?!", Lobster Claws asked, his voice getting more and more gravelly. Rocks, twigs, potted plants, and decor in the garden started to float into the air. "Being bad... feels so good...!", Lobster Claw's gravelly voice called out.

"How could you do this?! We were trying to help you", Star exclaimed, feeling betrayed. "Lobster Claws, let that wand go! You won't be able to control it!", I told him. "...Huh?" Lobster Claws' eyes returned to normal, and the wand took on a way more harmless form. Lobster Claws gazed upon us.

"Don't listen to them! They're the enemy!", Ludo screamed. Lobster Claws' eyes turned black again, as did the wand. "No, we saw the good in you! Don't do it!", Star said. "Act like a monster and give it to me!", Ludo ordered. "Lobster Claws, please! The wand will destroy you!", I tried to reason. Lobster Claws kept turning from his normal form to the one with black eyes, clearly contemplating on who to listen to.

"Hiii...yah!", Marco exclaimed, and kicked the wand out of Lobster Claws' grip. The floating objects fell to the ground again, and Star caught her wand. It returned to its usual appearance. "Ugh! I always forget about that karate boy!", Ludo groaned.

"Stardust Daisy Devastation!"  Star summoned a blast of magic pollen. "Retreat!", Ludo exclaimed between coughs. He opened a portal, and one by one the monsters entered the other dimension. As Lobster Claws tried to follow up, he was stopped by Ludo.

"Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa. YOU!" For a second, I thought the plan had not worked. "You had the wand in the palm of your claws! ... What did it feel like?", Ludo asked Lobster Claws. "I-it kind of tingled", Lobster Claws replied nervously. "I knew it! I'm so jealous! Can I touch your claws?!", Ludo fangirled, "After you!"

Lobster Claws entered the portal, and Ludo followed behind. "Wait, don't do it Lobster Claws! What about wanting to be good?", Marco asked. From the portal emerged Lobster Claws' pincer to punch Marco. "That's my monster!", Ludo cheered.

I healed Marco's wound with a spell. Star joined our side. "Huh. Marco, you were right. There was some good in him after all", she said. "Not much", Marco replied, still laying on the ground.
