Comet's POV:
The noise from downstairs had become louder and louder for the past few hours. Marco had come to our room and was currently playing a game of cards with Star, while I tried to focus on my book. "Ugh, I can't take this anymore!", Star exclaimed, covering her ears. I agreed with her. This was going way too far.
When a loud bang came from downstairs, I finally snapped and stood up from the floor. "Okay, that's enough", I grumbled and closed my book. Marco and Star seemed to be surprised by my sudden burst of confidence and silently followed me downstairs to confront Dad.
Downstairs, the room had gotten even fuller. Everywhere stood people, chatting in booming voices, cheering others on as they stuffed as many of whatever snack into their mouths, and wrestling on the ground. Oh, for the love of Mewni, how old were they? Five?.
"Wait! Don't touch that!", Marco yelled, running away to prevent someone breaking the decor.
"Dad, we really need to talk to you right now", I said. He was standing next to King Pony Head, laughing loudly. Just as Dad was about to turn to me, another guest arrived in the house. "Hey guys!", he yelled, "Well, here I am! Yeah! Now the party can start. Ooh, tight squeeze." The guest, a huge, golden star squeezed through the entry's door, breaking it in the process.
"Oh, no! Who invited Helios?! That guy is the worst!", Dad whined. "Gross!", King Pony Head agreed, "Now he got his ear pierced?" "There he goes, eating all the appetizers", Dad complained, "He ruins every party and is completely oblivious about it!"
"Funny, I can weirdly relate", Star noted. Suddenly, I felt a pull and stumbled forward. "No, no, no! Please, somebody! His gravitational pull is-!", a guest yelled, but before he could even finish his sentence, he was pulled into Helios' body. "Dad, can't you just kick him out?", I suggested, "along with everyone else?" "No way. I'm not talking to that fool", Dad stubbornly said and turned around.
Star and I watched, as Helios was having the time of his life terrorizing all the other guests, trying to stop them from breaking furniture and decor. "Whoo! Everybody, dancing really sure works up my Apple- Ooh, dessert!", Helios exclaimed, and inhaled the various sweets from another snack table. Star and I yelped in surprise, as we tried to keep the table from being inhaled too. Irritated, Star stood up and glared at Helios. "Excuse me, I think you've overstayed your welcome, and you gotta go!", she said.
"Well, you want to know something? I may be filled with hydrogen, but you're filled with 'annoyogen'! Ha, you just got burned by the sun!", he laughed and caught us in his gravitational pull. "Whoa, watch it", I said, holding onto Star. We retreated from him and his dangerous pull, and I glanced around the room. Everything was so messy and loud, with people everywhere. I felt so overwhelmed, that I thought I was about to puke. "Comet, are you alright? You're really pale", Star asked alarmed, "let me get you a glass of water."
Before she could move, Helios started growing in size his pull getting stronger and stronger. "I'm still hungry, but there's no food. I guess I'll have to eat the whole planet!", he yelled, causing the party guests to panic and get even louder. Water, I thought, trying to calm down and motion Star to help me get a glass of water. It was so warm in here...
Wait, water! Suddenly, my head was completely free, with the solution to this problem being the soul thought left. "Lunar Tide!", I yelled, pointing my wand in Helios' direction. The whole room was flooded in water, extinguishing Helios, and giving everyone wet socks.
"Hey, two pairs of wet socks!", someone complained. "Well, I'm outta here", another said, and left the party. One by one, the party guests all left through dimensional portals. Even King Pony Head, despite not having feet, was so appalled that he left the party.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen!", Dad tried to stop leaving them from the party. Gazing upon the state in which the room was, he sighed. "Wow... I really made a mess of things..."
"Comet! Are you okay? Come, sit here!" Star guided me to the couch, on which Marco was already sitting. She quickly took an unused plastic cup from a nearby table, and dipped it into the water. "Here", she offered. I took slow sips, taking deep breaths in exhaustion.
Dumbfounded, Dad came to us on the couch. "Um, sweethearts, I perhaps got a little carried away. And I may have been a little inconsiderate", he apologized, "I guess that's why your mother threw me out in the first place. I'm sorry, you guys." Star smiled at him. "And you'll patch things up with Mom?", she asked. "Definitely", Dad assured, and looked at me. I gave him a weak smile. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." "Hugs!", Star cheered, and the three of us embraced each other.
"What are we gonna do with Helios?", Marco asked. From the waters, Helios appeared. He was now a mere rock and Dad picked him up. "Ooh, after party! Where we gonna go?", the rock Helios asked. "I have no idea, but I'll give you a ride!", Dad said, before striking him with his club, sending him into a dimensional portal. "Hole in one!", Dad cheered, and turned to us, "I'll send my top serfs to make everything better than new. Farewell."
He opened a portal to Mewni, and jumped through it. "Bye Dad", Star and I said. "Bye", Marco joined in. When the portal closed, we let ourselves fall back into the couch. Marco took off his wet socks to wring them dry. "Oh Marco, I'm sorry I made your socks wet. Again", I apologized. "I'm sorry too", Star agreed, "From now on, we'll always give you a heads-up."
Marco smiled. "Thanks. But a surprise is good every once in a while. Wouldn't you agree?" With that, he shoved me and Star into the water, and jumped in after us. We resurfaced and laughed. Then, Star conjured three dolphins which took us on their backs. We spent the time until Dad's servants came to enjoy the pool in the living room.
