Comet's POV

"Look, there's Marco" I told Star and pointed in the direction of him. He was standing with the back to us, shielding Ferguson in opossum clothing from a little brown-haired girl who was running past. "It's almost game time, and thanks to me, no Warriors have even gotten close to you" he stated. "Haaaah!" Star screamed and startled the boys. They yelped in surprise and looked at us as if we were mad. "Who's ready for a bloody, bloody bloodbath?" Star asked and laughed threateningly. "What's with that crazy look in your eyes?" Marco asked us. "What do you mean?" Star replied. "She's just a bit excited for the battle" I explained. "What bat-. Okay, watch Ferguson. I need to talk to 'Princess Cuckoo Pants 1 and 2'" Marco pulled us away from Alfonzo and Ferguson. "Okay, girls, what are you up to?" he asked us. "Exactly what you said" I told him. "We booby-trapped the battlefield" Star informed him while weighing her battleaxe on her shoulder. "WHAT?!?!" Marco looked at the field with bombs, pitfall traps, and laser sensors. He didn't seem to believe what we had done. He groaned "STAR, COMET!... The Warriors weren't actually gonna kill our team! They were just gonna beat them in football! Which is a game!" The smile on Star's and my face turned into frowns. "Ohhhhh..." Star said. "Oh no" I whispered. The referee blew his whistle, and the Warriors kicked the ball during kickoff. Unfortunately, we had put a landmine underneath the ball, which they set off. A rainbow explosion took the ball with it and threw it into Justin's hand. He dropped it, and everyone started to run away in panic and fear, setting off a lot more of the bombs in the process. I felt terribly guilty. We shouldn't have jumped to conclusions and should have asked Marco what exactly football was. "Oh, no. Everything's going according to plan" Star said. The referee ran onto the field, blowing his whistle and tripping over a tripwire. The endzone lifted up, and various creatures we created came out from the ground, including our three-eyed fire cats. "Let me guess, the kitty cat offense" Marco sarcastically asked us. Star chuckled nervously. I saw one of our giant magical squirrels chasing multiple Warriors. "We have to do something!" I told them. Marco nodded and immediately ran over the Warriors to help them. He dodged exploding landmines and attacked the squirrel. Star and I also started to help the teams. We managed to stop some of the bombs from exploding. Suddenly we saw Marco getting pounded by a giant squirrel. "Marco!" Star shouted and let go of a Warrior she was helping out of a vortex. I quickly grabbed the Warrior and luckily managed to pull him out of the portal. The Spirit Committee ran past me. Brittney pushed the people in her way to the side and screamed hysterically "Out of my way! I am too pretty to die!" A giant snake popped out of the ground and caught Brittney in its mouth. I used my magic bow and arrow to reverse the snake into the worms it was before. Brittney landed on the ground and spat out some snake saliva looking highly shocked. Then there was nothing left anymore of the creatures we had conjured. Marco Star and I came together and heard Ferguson across the field yelling "Hey, Marco, you were right! They were trying to kidnap me!" We saw him running directly toward one bomb that Star and I hadn't managed to get off the field in time. Ferguson walked right into it and it went off. "Ferguson!" Marco screamed and ran over to his friend. I couldn't believe what had happened. Ferguson was lying on the ground with his eyes closed. "No, buddy! I'm sorry! I failed you!" Marco said while hugging his friend "Forgive me!" "Dude! I was just playing possum!" Ferguson said. I sighed in relief, seeing that he hadn't been killed. "You're alive!" Marco said. Then he grabbed Ferguson by his shoulders and shouted "This is why you only have two friends!" Star and I looked around. The football field was completely destroyed, the students and teachers were in shock, and most of the guests were gone. "We've really messed up" I told Star. She nodded sadly. "You mean all three of us messed up. I should've been watching out for you two" Marco admitted. "Let's get outta here!" A Warrior exclaimed. He and his football team dashed onto their school bus, and they speeded away. "They just forfeited" Justin noticed. He grinned and yelled "We win!" The crowd that was still left cheered. Our football team got over to us and picked up Star, Marco, Ferguson, and me. "Woo-hoo" Star cheered before she thought out loud "Why do I have this weird feeling I'm forgetting something?" Suddenly the giant magical bird swooped down on us and took Marco with him. "That was it" Star remarked.
