Marco's POV:

I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I came downstairs for breakfast. My sleepiness was however quickly replaced by absolute and utter confusion, as a purple bird flew past me, waking me from my half-awake-half-asleep state with a shrill squawk right next to my ear. "Ow!" I rubbed my ringing ear, and looked up.

"Wha...?" More birds flew past me. In front of me was not the familiar view of the living room, but instead a jungle. Exotic plants grew from our walls, and small animals ran past me on the floor. "Wow, Star and Comet are getting better at their magic. This is really peaceful", I muttered. "Huh? I didn't do this", Comet's voice came from behind me. She was still in her nightdress, wand in hand. "What do you mean you didn't-", I asked, when I was suddenly attacked by some lion-like monster. It caught me in its mouth and started shaking his head, flinging me left and right. "Ahh!! Help!", I screamed. "Mega Explosive Crystal Laser!" Star's spell came from the other side of the room, creating a laser pointer with her wand. The lion-like beast let go of me, and I dropped to the floor. "Here, kitty, kitty" Star swung her wand back and forth, before pointing it at the bushes, in which the beast followed the red dot into. I sighed, and let Comet pull me up from the ground. I patted down my clothes. "Thanks for saving me... again." From the pocket of my pajamas, I pulled out a notebook and pen and drew another line for twins. "That makes it 28 saves for you guys and... 4 for me. But hey, who's counting?" I pushed the notebook back into my pocket and joined the twins

"Wow, Marco! I just love what you've done with the place!", Star exclaimed. One of those shrill-shrieking birds landed on her head and started pecking her. "Aw! So cute!", she gushed. "What? I didn't do this", I denied. "Well, somebody did. Comet?" Star looked over to her sister. Comet shook her head "Like I said, I wasn't it", she said.

"'Somebody'? Birds and rainbows and... whatever that is", I pointed at some poodle-like creature with six legs and eating a bag of chips. The creature glanced at us. "'Sup?", it greeted, before returning to its bag of chips. "This has to be you, Star", I concluded. "Sorry, it wasn't me", Star said. We looked at each other dumbfounded. If it was none of us, who then would've managed to build a jungle in our living room overnight?

Comet pulled down a bundle of vines, revealing some kind of stone sculpture of one of the twins' head. Star glance over Comet's shoulder. "Eh, looks like your dad's work", she told me.

Suddenly, Dad appeared in the sculpture's mouth, holding a hammer and shield. "This was my work", he proudly said. Then he looked around our room, "but the rest of this, no." And just like that, he disappeared, back into the sculpture. Star seemed completely unfazed, and left for the kitchen to get herself some breakfast. I exchanged a glance with Comet to find out whether this was normal. Comet shrugged her shoulders, as if to say ' have no idea what is going on.' "Let's check if this happens again", she said, before using her wand to turn our room back to how it was before. "Crystal Sand Time Reversal" A golden light engulfed the room, and the vines and in the room disappeared, only leaving a fine layer of shimmering gold sand behind.

Comet's POV:

A series of different colored blasts of light woke me from the realm of dreams. I groggily rose from under the warm covers, and blinked in the direction of the light source. "...Star? What's going on?", I mumbled. From my bed and through its curtains I saw Star walking in circles in our room, wand in hand. A knock could be heard at our door, and Marco entered the room. "Marco",I whispered. "Comet?", he looked at me with confusion. Suddenly, he was knocked over by one of Star's narwhal blasts. "Star? What are you doing?!", he yelped, and I finally jumped out of bed to help. "Lamp... Destroy", Star mumbled. The bedside lamp on he nightstand came to life, and started zapping us.

"Starlit Shield!" A bubble of white star-like lights encased us, protecting Marco and me from the oncoming attacks. We watched as Star upped into our inter dimensional mirror. Only now could I see that she was still sound asleep, and was casting all these spells in her dreams. That must then be the explanation for the jungle that morning! She thought she hadn't done it, because she hadn't remembered.

As Star bumped into the mirror once again, the mirror went on. "Playing messages", the female voice said. Mom's image appeared in the mirror. "Comet, dear, and Star. Just calling with your daily reminder - especially for you Star! - to behave like the queens-in-training that you are..." Mom's mouth continued to move, but no words could be heard, for Star had brought a stack of paper to life, that now whirled around us. We were still in our protective shield, but with me still keeping that spell up, I was unable to do anything else. "We have to wake her up!", I exclaimed over the sound of wind.

"Beanbag... Monster... Metamorphosis", Star mumbled, still deep asleep. The spell she cast brought the peach beanbag in her part of the room to life, who stood up and started bearing its teeth/zipper at us. "Star! Wake up!", I exclaimed. "Star!", Marco yelled too. Finally, it seemed like she had heard us, for he started to stir from her sleep. With tired eyes she yawned and looked over at us, still caught in the paper whirlwind.

"Morning Comet, morning Marco. Morning beanbag chair monster..." Star's eyes widened in realization. "Comet,Marco! Lightning Twinkle Rescue!", she exclaimed. The living objects returned to their inanimate state, and I could finally take the shield down that had been protecting the two of us before. Exhausted from the spell, I lay down on the floor. "You saved us", Marco sighed, "That's, uh 29 to 4. technically speaking 30 to 4, since you saved me too, Comet."

"What happened?", Star asked, looking around the room. "You were spelling in your sleep", I explained. "That must be why you don't remember turning our living room into a jungle!", Marco realized. "Oh no! You gotta fix me, Diaz", Star exclaimed. Marco gasped, pretty excited: "Now's my chance to save you! With psychology!"

"Psychology?"

"Psychologyyyy."
