The Next Day....
Saturday September 5th 1885
3:45PM

Doc, Marty, Chris and O'Connor started preparing for their trip back to the future, Doc with Chris started replacing the tires with train wheels, meanwhile Marty tested out the walkie-talkies since he and Chris hadn't used them since 1955 when they retrieved the sports almanac.

Doc, Chris this is Marty, do you read me? over! said Marty into the walkie-talkie

Check, Marty! Doc confirmed

"Great Doc, these things still work"

O'Connor was impressed by walkie-talkies, he couldn't believe that 100 years from now people would be talking through these, rather than sending letters or telegrams.

Wow!, so you actually use these to communicate with other people? O'Connor asked

This is one of many, wait til you see telephones, you can call people from all over the world said Chris

Woah, that sounds amazing said O'Connor

After O'Connor admired the walkie-talkies, Doc began explaining his plan on how to get back to 1985, with a homemade model of the train route which to Marty and Chris reminded them of the model of the time square in 1955.

"I apologize for the crudity of this model but-"

Yeah we know Doc, it's not to scale Marty interrupted

Look good though Chris added

Then Doc started explaining his plan to Marty, Chris and O'Connor using a homemade model of the DeLorean.

"Alright tomorrow night Sunday, we load the DeLorean here on the spur right by the old abandoned silver mine, the switch track is where the spur runs off the main line three miles out to Clayton Rav-Shonash Ravine, the train leaves the station at 8:00 on Monday morning, we'll stop it here uncouple the cars from the tender, throw the switch track and we'll hijack-"

Hijack?! said Chris

"Borrow the locomotive and we'll use it to push the Time Machine, according to my calculations we'll reach 88 miles per hour just before we hit the edge of the ravine at this point we'll be instantaneously transported back to 1985 and go safely across the completed bridge."

After Doc finished explaining his plan, Marty, Chris and O'Connor had a lot of questions.

Great plan, but question how are we going to get the train to push the DeLorean up to 88? asked Chris

Simple , I'll make my own version of Presto-Logs answered

What are presto-logs? asked O'Connor

They're these wooden logs made of biomass material said Doc "it's flammable material will make the furnace of the train hotter which in turn will make it go faster"

Marty saw a sign on a windmill on the model of the train track which said "Point of No Return" he wondered what it meant.

What does this mean?, Point of No Return? Marty asked Doc

That is our fail safe point Doc answered "up until here we still have enough time to stop the locomotive before it plunges into the ravine but once we pass this windmill it's the future or bust"

Doc then got out some electrical clippers and gave one to Marty who connected it to the positive terminal, he then pulled a switch and the little train on the track starting and pushing the little DeLorean model it reminded Marty and Chris of a toy train track, Doc then pulled a lever and the train went faster and faster, until he caught the little DeLorean model as the train landed on a small pillow.
