Chapter 19: The Standoff

Monday September 7th 1885
7:00AM

The sun was just starting to rise as Marty and O'Connor woke up they were tired but they had to wake up early in order to put Doc's plan in motion.

Morning, Marty said O'Connor as he rubbed his eyes

Morning yawned Marty "what time is it, Doc?"

he got up and realized that Doc and Chris were gone, Marty checked his photograph of the tombstone and saw his name engraved on it, they had to get out of there now, Marty then got on his horse and went to look for Doc, while O'Connor rode his horse to Sarah's house to look for Chris.

Meanwhile.....
Chris and Sarah spent the night cuddling until they fell asleep, Chris and Sarah suddenly woke up to the thumping and it was O'Connor who was throwing pebbles at Sarah's bedroom window.

Chris!! we have to find Doc get out of here now!! O'Connor called out

The train!! Chris realized

Chris then borrowed a horse from Sarah and he and O'Connor rode back to town to find Doc.

Meanwhile in the outskirts of town....
Buford and Margaret woke up and soon woke up the rest of the gang, rather rudely, for them it was the day of the showdown, for Buford he just wanted Marty to be humiliated or possibly killed and for Margaret she hoped to win this fight with Chris and O'Connor would be back in her possession.

Wake up, get up! yelled Buford

Get up, you bastards we got some runts to kill said Margaret

It's still early boss, what's your hurry? asked Buford's gang

I'm hungry said Buford

Back at the saloon.....
Doc was still sitting at the saloon depressed over his break up with Clara, he was still holding his shot of whiskey and talking about the future to a group of drunken patrons.

And in the future we don't need horses, we have motorized carriages called automobiles said Doc

And if everybody's got one of these auto-whatsis does anyone walk or run anymore? asked of the drunks

Of course we run, but for recreation for fun Doc answered

Run for fun?! what the hell kind of fun is that? the drunks laughed

Hey Chester how many drinks has he had? asked one of the patrons

None that's his first one, he hasn't touched it yet said Chester the bartender

Meanwhile...
As soon as Marty, Chris and O'Connor arrived back in town, they quickly went to the shop to look for Doc, they realized he wasn't there so they immediately went to the saloon, they were relieved to find him but also concerned as they saw his sad face.

Doc, what's wrong? asked Chris

I lost her Chris, there's nothing left for me here said Doc

Alright, that's you gotta come back with us! said Marty

Where? asked Doc

Back to the Future!! Marty exclaimed

Doc then suddenly had a change of heart, he was going back to 1985 with the boys, and he was going to put aside his heartbreak aside and get back home.

Right, let's get going! said Doc "gentlemen, excuse me but my friends and I have to catch a train"

here's to you, blacksmith! said one of the drunks as he raised his shot of whiskey

And to the future, amen! said another patron

Amen said Doc as he took his shot of whiskey

Emmett, No! exclaimed Chester
