Chapter 22: The Time Train

Sunday October 27th 1985
1:18PM

Marty, Jennifer, Chris, O'Connor, Hawn and Billy arrived back to the site of the destruction of the DeLorean Time Machine, after Marty and Chris explained everything that happened after she fainted, Jennifer had it to see for herself, as soon as Jennifer saw what was left of the Time Machine she knew Marty was telling the truth.

You're right, there's not much left said Jennifer

It's awful, isn't it? said Chris

Doc's never coming back said Marty sombrely

Chris then noticed the remains of the photo from 1885 of Doc next to the clock, he looked at the photo very sombrely, knowing he would never see his friend again, O'Connor, Billy and Hawn gave Chris a big hug to comfort him.

I'm sure gonna miss him, you guys said Marty

Yeah, me too said Chris

Then suddenly they heard the sound of the railway crossing and so they moved out of the way to let the train through, but they looked both sides and no train was approaching much to their confusion.

What the hell? said Marty

Then suddenly a burst of light blew them all to the ground, and they saw a locomotive, not just any locomotive, a futuristic looking locomotive, with bells, whistles and lights and a flux capacitor on the funnel, and one the side of the train were the initials E.L.B., in the window was a familiar figure, it was Doc Brown, donning a suit from the late 19th century and a bowler hat and pocket watch.

Doc?! they all exclaimed

Marty, Chris!, O'Connor! Doc exclaimed

Doc!, this is amazing!, you actually used my idea said Chris admiring the time train

You like it?, it runs on steam! said Doc

The train doors opened much like the DeLorean's gull wing doors to reveal Doc and his new wife, Clara Clayton-Brown, along with his dog Einstein.

Meet the family, Clara you all know said Doc

Hi, Marty, Hey, Chris, O'Connor! greeted Clara

Ma'am! greeted Marty

Hi, Clara! greeted Chris and O'Connor

After everyone greeted Clara, Doc then introduced the rest of his family, two boys younger than Chris, an 8 year old brown haired boy, and a 4 year old boy with blonde hair, they were very sweet looking boys, but the best thing about them was who they were both named after.

These are our boys, Jules and Verne, boys this is Marty, Chris, Jennifer and O'Connor said Doc as he introduced his two sons

Hello, it's so nice to meet you all said Jules

Hi, Dad has told us all about you guys said Verne

Doc, I thought we'd never see you again! said Marty

You can't keep a good scientist down, after all I had to back for Einstein, well I didn't want you all to worry about me said Doc

Clara and Doc then brought out some gifts wrapped in brown wrapping paper, two small gifts and a big one.

Oh, I brought you all some little souvenirs said Doc

Doc then gave Marty the first small gift and he opened to reveal something really special, the photograph from 1885 of Doc, Marty, Chris and O'Connor in front of the clock, framed and underneath reading "To Marty, Chris and O'Connor, Friends in Time, September 5th 1885".

It's great Doc, thanks said Marty

Chris, this is for you said Doc

Doc then handed Chris something big wrapped in wrapping paper, Chris opened it and revealed to be a guitar case, his eyes widened as soon he opened it, it was a left handed cherry red 1967 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar.

It was the same guitar he saw in the window of Gary's Guitar's two days prior, and it came with a special guitar pick and it was signed by his favourite guitarist Jimi Hendrix, he was both very happy and very grateful for it.

We made a quick stop back to 1967, we bought it brand new said Doc "plus we managed to catch Jimi Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival"

Doc!, this is..incredible, thank you said Chris

And last but not least..O'Connor, welcome to the 20th century said Doc

Doc then handed O'Connor a small envelope, he opened it to reveal a new birth certificate as well as some signed adoption papers by George and Lorraine, his legal name was now O'Connor McFly, he no longer had to live with his abusive aunt and be treated like a slave, he would now be living with the McFlys and live the rest of his life in the future as a normal kid and be treated with love and care, he was so happy he started shedding tears so he gave Doc and Clara a great big hug.

Thank you Doc, thank you! said O'Connor

After all was said and done, Jennifer still had something to ask Doc, during her brief time in the Future she brought back this note which used to say "You're Fired" but now the words were erased from existence, she didn't fully understand what it meant.

"Dr. Brown, I brought this note from the future and now it's erased" said Jennifer as she showed Doc the blank piece of paper

Of course it's erased! said Doc

But what does that mean? Jennifer asked

"It means your future hasn't been written yet no one's has, your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one, all of you!" said Doc

We will, Doc said Marty

We promise! Chris added

Stand back!, alright boys buckle up! said Doc to his family

The train doors as the Time Train started getting ready to go another time destination.

Hey Doc!, where are you going now?, Back to the Future? asked Marty

Nope, already been there! Doc responded

Doc waved goodbye to Marty, Chris, O'Connor and the others, as The Time Train's wheels turned into a hover conversion and the train flew off into the sky and disappeared leaving trails of fire in the sky, off to another time unknown, Marty and Chris knew this was the end of their time travelling adventures...for now.

There we go folks that was Chapter 22 hope you guys enjoyed it, while this spells the end of the movie its not the end of the story, Chapters 23-26 will help tie some loose ends as well as set up some stuff that'll we'll be seeing in Parts IV, V and VI, those Chapters will be posted shortly so stay tuned - TheRetroKid
