Michael was really frustrated.

He'd just been walking through the stage with the other people in tech to see what and all they could be doing when he noticed oh.

Shit.

One of his earrings fell out.

Immediately he was looking around him, but it had to have fallen a while ago, because it was nowhere to be found.  Fuck, why hadn't someone told him?  His favorite pair too.  He had others, of course, but these were the ones he wore the most.

"Hey, Michael." Jenna approached, holding a folder that was labeled "sheet music" in her arms.  Ah, that was right.  She ended up cast as Cosette.  Her seat in the auditorium was pretty close to the stage. "Looking for something?"

Michael sighed and gave a nod, "One of my earrings fell out somewhere.  I didn't even notice until now.  It could be anywhere."

Jenna paused to think, then a moment later, quite helpfully, pulled an earring out of her pocket when he said that, "Do you recognize this one?"

Michael stared at it in shock, processing for a minute before nodding, "Holy shit, yeah, that's it!" He took it from her hand and put it in immediately, "Thanks."

Jenna gave a nod, "No problem.  I saw it fall from the balcony while you guys were walking toward the booth.  Speaking of, you might wanna hurry.  They went backstage without you."

Michael paused, then looked stage right, totally empty space where the tech crew used to be.  He scrambled back up to his feet and gave Jenna another quick thanks before he ran off to find them.
