Bloody Nose

Rich ran backstage holding his nose and going to the first person he could, which happened to be Brooke, "Fuck, Brooke, can you get me paper towels or something?  We were staging the wedding and Jeremy accidentally punched me for real, and I think my nose is bleeding."

Brooke's eyes went wide and she nodded, taking him to the dressing rooms and getting some paper towels for him, "Are you okay?"

Rich nodded, "I'm fine.  Honestly kind of impressed, I didn't know he could hit that hard." He pushed the towels against his nose, and sure enough, it was bleeding, "How did you do it?  You get slapped in act one don't you?  Weren't you ever scared of getting hit?"

Brooke gave a laugh, "Well, I never said it would be easy.  But the girl that slaps me for the longest time was just clapping so it would make the noise.  Remember?  Mr Reyes had to tell her to stop because it looked stupid.  So aside from the first one because I didn't know how it'd be staged, I was never scared.  Are you gonna talk to Jeremy about it?"

Rich rapidly nodded, "He knows he hit me, he apologized as soon as it happened.  He probably thinks I'm upset, but I'm really not.  We'll have to work on it so he doesn't actually hit me again."

Brooke nodded, "If it makes you feel any better, it happened with Gavin too, since he's Javert.  The kid that punches him when the ABC kids realize he's a traitor gave him a bloody nose three times while you were backstage yesterday, and he didn't even apologize.  Gavin had to say something to Mr Reyes to get the kid to stop.  Chloe thinks he auditioned for Javert and has a grudge against Gavin because he got it, but I don't know if I believe that."

Rich nodded, "That's nuts.  I know I've heard a couple of people saying mean ass shit about Christine because she got Eponine, but that's all I've heard so far.  I didn't think there'd be so much drama with Javert though, not that many people auditioned for him."

Brooke nodded, "You know that Mandy girl that's in the Lovely Ladies scene?  She's been icy to Christine since the cast list got released.  Makes sense though, not that I agree with it.  Eponine is the role everyone wants."

"Hopefully it all calms down," Rich offered, then pulled the towel away from his face, "I think my nose is okay.  I'm gonna head back out there."

Brooke smiled and waved him off, watching as he walked back to the stage from the dressing rooms.
