"Miss Valentine, can I keep you for minute, please?" Mr Reyes spoke up as Chloe was grabbing her belongings.  All of her friends were headed out, including Brooke, who was her ride.  She'd have to text her and let her know she was being held back for a minute.

"Sure." Chloe still had her backpack on her back, but she made no moves to leave.

"Right.  Since this is your first year as a stage manager, I want to make sure you know what I expect of you during the show." Mr Reyes started off, "You already know most of it, obviously, so I won't repeat what you've already been doing this whole time.  In addition to that though, I need you to help with keeping the actors from getting too rowdy backstage, especially during intermission and before and after the shows.  Since Miss Fischer and I are going to be running things from the audience, we really need you and Meg to take that leadership role from backstage.  I'm not to worried about the leads, they've all been very well-behaved.  I'm more worried about our ensemble members, especially those of whom haven't performed before.  They may need reminders of the etiquette.  Do you think you'll be able to handle that?"

Chloe gave a smile, feeling almost smug, "Is that all?  Easy."

Mr Reyes smiled back at her, "I knew you'd be able to do it.  You're a great leader, Miss Valentine.  Keep it up.  You may leave now."

So, with that, Chloe left.  She felt a giddy smile painting her face.  With the way things had been going the past few weeks, hearing that he believed in her, being validated as a leader?  It made her feel really good.  It reminded her that she did know what she was doing.  She was kicking ass, in fact.  Sometimes a reminder was good.
