Opening night had Jake a lot more nervous than he'd expected.  It wasn't as if he was performing, but he was still scared out of his mind.  It didn't help that a lot of his friends had their families seeing the show today.

The pressure was on.

Michael seemed to notice his nerves, because his hands were soon being taken, "Hey.  Are you with me?"

"Huh?"

"You've just been staring out into space for the past five minutes." Michael clarified, "You nervous?"

Jake swallowed and nodded, "I'm terrified.  What if I fuck it up?  What if I forget everything as soon as the show starts?"

"You won't." Michael squeezed on his hands, then gave a light shrug, "You've nailed the lights every night of tech and every night of dress rehearsals.  You'll nail them every night of performances too."

Jake gave a wobbly little smile, "You think so?

"I know so." Michael grinned, letting go of his hands with a smile, "Now come on.  Show opens in ten minutes so we need to be ready to dim the lights."
