**Restaurant**

Priscilla and John sat at the restaurant, engrossed in a serious discussion about the issues their company was facing at the moment.

Priscilla leaned in, her voice hushed as she explained the situation regarding Luke and Lisa, not missing any important detail. "John, it's imperative that you understand what's been going on with Luke and Lisa. It all started when Lisa worked as Luke's right hand at his firm, after she met Michael, he jumped on her at his office" Priscilla says marking the word jump, so John understands the whole situation. John nods understanding. "Then Lisa went to the police, guy got kicked out from the company, Lisa got his seat. After all of this, she found some threatening note saying she will pay for ruining their life."

John frowns, "You think it was Luke who left the note?"

Priscilla nods and says, "Yes, well, they initially believed it was Daniel, an old friend of Michael. Now it's clear to me that it wasn't the case," she adds, sipping from her wine glass.

John listened attentively as Priscilla detailed the troubling history between Luke and Lisa. The revelation of Michael's involvement and the disturbing note left for Lisa added another layer of complexity to the situation.

His frown deepened as he processed the information. "So, Luke had a personal vendetta against Lisa, and it escalated to the point where he was willing to leave threatening notes. This is deeply concerning, Priscilla. We need to address this issue not only for Lisa's sake but also for the safety and well-being of everyone at the company."

"Exactly, that's why we shouldn't choose Luke. Instead, we need to find someone else. If we want Lisa to stay and lead the company, we have to find someone who will genuinely prioritize the well-being of the firm," Priscilla suggests.

"Well, we've known each other for over 10 years, and I've always valued your opinion. This time is no different. But who could it be?" John contemplates after eating the last bite of his food.

Priscilla's gaze was thoughtful, and she set her empty glass of wine down on the table. "That's something to think about, John," she remarked, her voice carrying a note of consideration. The weight of the situation hung in the air, and both of them knew that addressing the issues with Luke and the broader implications for their company required careful planning and action.

*Late night at the California Hotel*

"Hello?" a deep voice answered on the other side of the phone.

Lisa sat in a more comfortable position, taking a deep breath. "Hello, it's Lisa," she said, her voice shaking slightly. The silence on the other end seemed to stretch, and she began to wonder if he would respond.

"I'm here, Lisa," the man on the other end finally replied, his voice tinged with surprise and uncertainty. "I'm surprised you're calling me after everything. Especially after what I said about you to Michael, and how I was in general."

Lisa's fingers played with the fabric of her sheets as she carefully broached the subject. "I can imagine," she replied, her voice soft and contemplative. "I actually wanted to apologize for how things turned out between us. However, you must understand that everything we discuss must remain strictly confidential, Daniel. I don't want Michael to know about me being in contact with you, especially since I have a favor to ask. This isn't a one-sided request, though. I believe we both stand to benefit from this."

Daniel let out a deep sigh, his voice reflecting understanding. "Okay, fine, Lisa. But before we delve into that, let me explain myself and clear some things up. I want to assure you that I have no intention of trying anything with you or attempting to disrupt your relationship with Michael. I hope you believe me on that."
