Chapter Seventeen

Another day, another challenge. Today was a special day for Chris.

Or should he say night? Because this challenge is called Face Your Worst Fears, In The Dark!

It's currently one in the morning right now and everyone is all staring at Chris as if they're going to rip his head off. Which, all of them currently want to do.

"Is he serious? It's literally one a.m.! Ugh! Sometimes I can't stand McLean."

"As you all know, tonight's challenge is Face Your Fears, night time edition! Everyone will have to face their worst fears. For each fear that is faced, their team gets seven points. If a player from that team doesn't face their fear, their team will lose ten points. As for the number of eliminations, there will be two people eliminated, just like the previous times." Chris explains.

Alejandro looks around and unfortunately, doesn't find Noah anywhere. He looks back at Chris. "McLean, where's Noah?" He asks.

"Yeah, where is my little buddy? He should be here considering that he was at the other previous challenges." Owen asks after Alejandro.

"He's at my cottage, getting his beauty rest because somebody," The host looks at Jose. "Kept him awake all last night, for unknown reasons."

----Jose Confessional----

"It may be my fault that Noah isn't here, but it isn't that bad. I mean we all know how Noah gets when he doesn't get enough sleep. And plus, who wouldn't want to stay up all night with me?"

Alejandro grinds his teeth together. 'Jose was probably up with Noah all night, just to flirt with him! The nerve Jose has!'

"Anyway back to the challenge. There isn't really any reason for me to ask any of you all your fears since I already know them all. Now then, let's get going!"

First up was Heather. Unfortunately for her, she might have gotten over her fear of suma wrestlers, but ever since she was forcefully shaved, her being bald has been her number one fear.

She was put on a seat and Chef came out with a raiser. She has to stay in the seat with Chef cutting off centimeters of her hair for three minutes. She quickly declined and ran off.

The second one was Justin. He was completely afraid of getting a deformed face. So Chris had some make up stylists paint on Justin's face to make it look deformed. He had to keep the make up in for five minutes.

Not even a minute later he took off the make up and said, "Hell no." before walking away.

DJ went, and luckily, he scored his team a point.

Then Eva scored her team their point. Who knew that Eva had a fear of pandas.

The challenge continues and now It's Alejandro's turn to face his fear.

Alejandro has to stand in the middle of a little pound, full of lava. Ever since he was thrown into the volcano, lava has been his worst fear.

He shuts his eyes tightly and waits there for the next three minutes. Somewhat, luckily, he makes it out alive and wins the points in the process.

Next is Jose. He has to sit in a room with scorpions. He hates scorpions. One time when he was little, he and his family went on vacation and he was attacked by a scorpion. He didn't even do anything. Since then, he's been terrified by scorpions.

He sits in the corner of the room just staring at the scorpions that surrounded him. Fortunately, Chris took pity on him, not really, and only put twenty scorpions in the room and not fifty like he wanted. Jose stays there for the full five minutes, winning his team their point.

The game continues and in the end it was the winning team is the Flying Squirrels.

"The Flying Squirrels win with 35 points! Swimming Sharks, I'll see you at the elimination ceremony!" The host says.

Before Jose could walk away, Chris pulls him aside.

"Chris, is there something you need?" Jose asks.

"Actually, there is. I decided that since your my new star this season and you were one of the only ones that actually faced your fear, you get to pick two extra people on your team to get rid of." The host explains.

"Two extra people? This day just got a whole lot better. I already know who I have in mind to get rid of."

"The votes are in. Lindsay, Justin, you two are going home. Can't say that I'm surprised. It wasn't even a minute before the two of you backed out." Chris announced.

"I understand. I hope you all get far! And stay safe!" Lindsay said with a smile.

Justin didn't say anything, he just looked at the others as they all gave Lindsay hugs.

"Oh, and one more thing. Gwen and Duncan. You two..... are going home as well!" The host laughs.

"What!?" All the contestants', beside Jose, yell at the same time.

"Yup! For more ratings, I had your beloved Jose here pick two extra teammates to take out. And he picked you too! So now get going, the four of you!" The host explains, barely holding in his laughter.

"Jose! You'll pay for this!" Duncan yells as he gets thrown into the boat.

"Oh, Duncan. I'll pay for any damage that I've done, after I get my one million dollars."
