As we landed and got off of the plane, I held my breathe.
Not entirely sure why but I couldn't figure out what I was feeling.
I wanted to come back and continue with the wedding but..Gabriel always seems to mess things up.
I just hope this goes well.
For the sake of my family, Jesse and everyone else.
We stepped into the airport and I saw my name on a huge piece of cardboard and I smiled.
"Welcome home Camilla!" They yelled.
A few of our Highschool friends came running towards me and all hugged me at the same time.
I laughed and tried to hug them back.
"Thank you. It feels so good to be back" I said.
They took my bags and as Malinda saw my ring, she gasped and screamed.
"Oh my gosh!! You're married!?" She yelled.
I tried to tell her not so loud to cause attention to ourselves but it was too late.
Everyone else who came with her came rushing back towards me and all jumped up and down squealing and hugging me.
"Congratulations!! Omg when is the wedding?" Malinda asked.
I laughed and pulled my crossbody purse over my head.
"Thank you so much and I'll let you know. We're still working on the details but for now let's enjoy the day" I said.
~ 2 Hours Later ~
"Mom, what do you think of this one?" I asked.
I stepped out of the dressing room in my third dress choice and mom turned around.
Her face dropped and she walked towards me slowly with her arms out.
"Oh honey...I love it. But how do you feel about it?" She said.
I smiled.
"This is the one" I said.
She hugged me and when she pulled away I noticed she was crying.
"What's wrong mom?" I asked.
"Nothing is wrong..I just..I can't believe this day has already come. I've missed so much of your life growing up and I'm so grateful you let me be here with you" she said.
"It's okay. I understand everything that happened and I forgive you mom. Now I have to change out of this so we can pay for it" I said.
She nodded and I walked back into the dressing room to change.
~~~
After hours of planning and getting ready..it was finally time.
Apparently everyone already knew about the wedding and was prepared for everything before we got off of the plane.
We walked into the room and I sat in front of the mirror and waited for my friend Chloe to finish doing my hair and lip gloss.
While she was doing that, I couldn't help but think about everything that has happened in the last few years to the last few months.
I thought about Gabriel for some reason and I got this weird feeling in my stomach.
I still cared about him as a person but..I no longer wanted to be with him.
I had no idea if he knew about the wedding or not and honestly I didn't really care.
There has been way too much drama that has happened in my life and with my family since he came into my life and I can't deal with it anymore.
I just hope he understands that.
Not sure exactly how long I stayed sitting there
after Chloe was finished but I heard someone calling my name."Cam, you okay?" Lyla asked.
I looked up at her and smiled.
She noticed the tears in my eyes and sat in the chair next to me.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
I grabbed a napkin from on the table and cleaned my eyes.
"What if I'm making the wrong decision? What if Gabriel comes here and tried to stop it and everything goes bad again?" I asked.
"It won't. And he won't. He's not welcome here and we made sure of that. None of us talk to him anyways" she said.
"But he's found me before without any of you telling him. How do you know he won't now?" I asked.
She sighed.
"Cam. You have to calm down. This is your day. Yours and Jesse. You have a wonderful man right in front of you, who loves you so much and who wants to marry you today and spend the rest of his life with you. Gabriel was in your life for a reason and you will figure out what that reason was soon if you haven't already. But he wasn't the man for you and you know that. If he shows up today, you know there's no way that you'll go back to him again so you shouldn't worry about that" she said.
I nodded and wiped my nose.
"You're right....You're right. It's not that I want to go back to him I just..we have a lot of history and I know he does love me too. Or at least I felt like he did. But you're right that's not my man and I know that. I just don't want him to come here and ruin things like he's done in the past" I said.
"He won't. We won't let him. Now get ready because it's almost time. You have 10 minutes before you go out there and are officially crowned a married woman" she said.
We laughed and she hugged me before kissing my forehead and walking out of the room.
I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror.
"I can do this" I said.
I was about to stand up when someone opened the door.
"Hello Camilla" Gabriel said.
I felt sick to my stomach and angry at the same time.
"What do you want? Why are you here? Just leave before you-"
"I'm here to wish you luck and congratulate you" he said.
I frowned in confusion and turned to look at him.
"I know. Surprisingly I don't really have any hate towards him or this whole thing. But I do want to warn you. He's not the man you think he is. But congratulations and have a wonderful day Camilla. I'll be watching you and protecting you still" he said.
He turned around and was about to open the door.
"Wait!" I said, standing up.
"I love you" he said, walking out and closing the door.
I ran to the door and opened it.
He was gone but I looked down the hallway to see Lyla running towards me.
"What just happened!? Are you okay?" She asked.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Yeah I'm okay. It's not worth my energy" I said.
She smiled and wrapped her arm around my left arm and mom came from behind us and wrapped her arm around my right arm.
I'm so ready for this.
I'm about to be Jesse's wife!.
