"Making another Akasha system would be nearly impossible without my power."

After you and Alhaitham left from your interrogation with Azar, you both went to the Sanctuary of Sarushtana to inform Nahida of everything.

"Not exactly." You retorted, watching her sway back and forth on her green swing. "The Akasha system runs on people's thoughts, dreams, and knowledge. Although without the Dendro Archon's abilities, a more modern system can be developed."

Nahida jumped out of her swing and nodded. "I was right to choose you as a Sage."

You swallowed your pride for the time being. "...Regardless, this situation is bad. We know Aderfi is the mastermind, and Reza and Amur are in it as well. We have the location of the converted knowledge, but we have no idea how many people have suffered from being test subjects..."

Nahida sighed, a saddened look coming about her face. "You mentioned Durgar before, correct?"

You had forgotten all about him. "Yeah... he fell victim to the converted knowledge from Dori."

"He's still alive. If we want further answers, we should talk to him." Nahida placed a hand on her heart. "I'll accompany you."

Alhaitham was standing next to you, arms folded and a cold expression on his face. "The Matra should be mobilizing guards towards Aaru village to secure the converged knowledge. I believe our suspects have been arrested as well."

"That's good." Nahida nodded. "As for Azar..."

"Guards have also been mobilized around his room. He'll be safe for now." Alhaitham explained.

Nahida shook her head, sighing. "...He is already gone."

Your eyes widened. "...What?"

Slowly, Nahida looked down, gloomily. "Right after you left, a loud screech came from Azar's room. The guards barged in, only to find his lifeless body lying limp on the ground."

"But Reza should already be under arrest..." Alhaitham's voice sounded surprised. "Azar even said it himself that Reza would kill him."

Nahida exhaled deeply. "I know. Even though we've caught the culprits, there's one more person we're missing."

You sighed. "After Reza and Aderfi are under questioning, perhaps they can tell us more."

"Maybe." Nahida walked back towards the center of the space, sitting down. "Y/N, for now, I'd like you to stay away from the Akademiya."

You understood her words. "I figured."

She giggled softly. "Great. Alhaitham, would you mind accompanying me to visit Durgar?"

"Of course." Alhaitham said. "...Y/N?"

"Oh, um..." You remembered back to your plans for the night. Considering that the current situation was more pressing, you decided to put your work first. "...I'll go."

Alhaitham seemed to be somewhat relieved by your statement.

But Nahida objected. "It's alright. If you have something to do tonight, then go do it."

You sighed. "How did you know?"

She laughed. "Normally, when humans hesitate after someone asks them about their plans, it means they already have previous plans made. So, I understand."

"Thank you..." You said, bowing. "I'll take my leave now."

Alhaitham watched as you exited the Sanctuary. That feeling of jealousy grew within his heart, making his muscles tense as your figure disappeared from his line of sight.
