Summary: Luz failed to make a working portal in Yesterday's Lie, so when she goes back home after getting thrown through the portal with her friends, her and her mom are confused about the girl who looks just like her who took her place. But Luz isn't just confused. She's furious.

Luz felt like she was going to collapse as she turned back to face her friends. The portal door was closed and they were in the human realm. To Luz, it felt so surreal. She hadn't even seen the human realm since her fight with Lilith months ago.

Gus was the first to start crying, falling to his knees and just sobbing. Hunter and Willow were both quick to comfort him. Luz sat down on the porch, not knowing what to even do. She didn't cry or laugh or scream.

She was just...numb.

Amity went over to comfort her and they held each other close.

"So, what are we going to do?" Amity weakly asked.

Everyone looked at Luz. She had basically become the leader of the group and was the only one who knew how to navigate the human realm.

"I think...I think I know where we can go."

Luz stood up, using Amity as support, and led the group out through the woods. They walked along the side of the road slowly and Luz thanked the Titan that it was raining, because it meant it was unlikely anyone would be out and see her friend's ears.

After a few minutes, Luz paused before walking up the sidewalk to a house. She was frozen in front of the door, unable to bring herself to even knock.

"Mama hasn't seen me in nearly a year. She probably thinks I'm dead. What am I supposed to even say?" She asked, tears in her eyes, though she didn't expect an answer.

Amity took her hand and softly smiled at her.

"We'll explain everything. Together."

Luz smiled back and turned back to the door. With a deep breath, she raised her hand and knocked. There was a bit of silence before she heard the sound of footsteps walking towards the door. Her mom opened in and gasped, though she looked more confused than relieved.

"Hey mom. I'm back."

Luz expected her mom to cry or something, but she didn't.

"How are...how are you here? What are you wearing? Who are these people? Since when did you have a scar on your eye? Luz, what game is this?" Camila questioned.

"Mom, I'm back, I'm finally home. I know you must have been terrified and I wanted to tell you, believe me I did, but with the portal destroyed-"

" Portal?! "

"-I couldn't text you to let you know I was still okay. I have so much to tell you but I can explain everything I prom-"

"Mom? Who's at the door?" A voice behind Camila asked.

Camila turned, giving Luz a look at...herself?

"I didn't know you had a twin." Gus chuckled.

"Evil doppelgänger!" Luz yelped, "Who are you? What are you? Mom, that's not me!"
