Kayon

Around the same time he ran into Micky getting a late night snack. He wanted to turn and go back to his room, before he saw him. But why? He didn't even have to speak to him. He waited for him to get whatever he was getting and then, got what he wanted. Kayon went into the living room again to lay on the couch, instead of Micky joining him he kept walking towards the room. Kayon reached out and pulled at his shorts.

"Hold on a sec..."

He paused for a second and took a seat. "What?"

"What Sean and Lonzo said wasn't right,"

"Yet, you did nothing."

"Because you can defend yourself Micky, damn." Kayon threw up his hands.

"If they were my friends I would have called them out on their bullshit, but maybe I'm not that important."

Kayon said nothing.

"What did I do Kayon?"

Please don't let this man start crying. Kayon really didn't have time for another man's emotions.

"If it makes you feel better I won't have them over anymore when you here," that was the least he could do.

"All summer it's going to be like this between us?"

"Malani here..."

He stood up. "Fuck Kayon...she's not the only one I'm here for."

"Mannnnn, you have to let that night go,"

"Well I can't, it's not that simple for me."

"Nothing even happened."

"You cried in my arms," Was Micky making it something it wasn't? Possibly.

"You was my friend, I had a moment and I thank you for being there for me, but..."

He laughed. "My dick was pressed against your ass and you didn't even flinch."

Kayon stood up and yanked him up by his shirt. "I don't fuck niggas, so whatever you thought, yo ass is delusional." He pushed him back into the couch and stormed out the door.

He probably shouldn't have said that to push his buttons and he's probably right about not liking guys. Truthfully, before that night he'd never thought it was possible either. Kayon was as straight as they came, and Micky would honor his wishes and stay away. He took his snack and went back to bed. No more than 15 minutes did he hear crying. He tried to fight the urge but couldn't help it. He got down on the floor, pulled the tissue out and put his eye up to it. Kayon was sitting on the floor, staring towards his window and sure enough, crying. His phone rung and he took a couple deep breaths and cleared his throat. "Hello,"

He stood up and walked to the window. "Naw, I'm not really feeling good tonight." He sighed. "No, it's not that...im just..." he didn't finish. "I don't need anything, imma just hit you up tomorrow.....goodnight."

Malani

She pretended to be sleep but opened her eyes and saw him down on the floor, peaking at Kayon. It's crazy how she wanted him and couldn't have him and he wants Kayon but can't have him. Micky had never told her directly his feelings about Kayon, but she didn't miss anything, not a single detail about her best friend. To her he had no flaws, of course he wasn't perfect, but he was everything.

The next morning it was as if the night before was a figment of her imagination. A thing of the past. She shook Micky until he woke up, he held on to her and licked her face. She pretended to hate it, being held in his strong arms, the sweet smell of his curls against her nostrils. She fought for him to free her arms, just a little, she could stay in his embrace forever.
