"Leaving again?" My mom asked

"I ain't see you...yeah....Shayla need me to help house sit while she outta town."

"You don't even ask no more just come and go as you please, don't take the trash out anymore. Just abandoned is, cause yah daddy lil family finally claim you."

"Ma, I don't want to get into it with you."

She stood up. "What if I say you can't go?"

"Imma still go, I'm almost eighteen and I'm tired of you and dude going at it all the time."

"Dude help pay bills in this house and you need to show some respect."

I laughed.

"Something funny?"

"Nah, but I'm gone." I walked out. She came walking fast behind me.

"Don't come back, since you love them so much, see if they will take yo ass in and feed you. I ain't tolerating the disrespect, people talking about you sneaking around with boys."

I stopped in my tracks and turned to her. "What?"

"Yeah, that got your attention. They say you like playing in booty." She smiled a wicked smile.

"Can't believe everything you hear." By now her boyfriend was coming outside.

"Oh I believe it, because Sean got drunk and told his mama and she called me. He said you and Kayon, said y'all like each other and he had to stop hanging with y'all because he don't get down like that."

Her boyfriend smiled. "I could of told you he was a faggot, he don't do shit but complain about what the hell I do. Stay on my dick."

"Nigga you wished somebody wanted your lazy nasty ass,you go days without washing."

"Don't disrespect him," my mom jumped in.

"And you just let him talk to me that way?"

"You said you almost grown, handle your own shit." Her boyfriend walked up behind her and hugged her. "You can't stay here living like that,"

"So you kicking me out?"

"Your lil brother don't need to be around that." Her boyfriend said.

"But you and her blackening each other eyes and busting each other lips in front of them. I don't even bring shit back home."

"We do what we want because we pay the bills, find you somewhere to live, you can keep your stuff here until the end of the week." My mom turned and went in the house and he followed her.

I stood by my car for a while, with my fist balled up. Then my bottom lips started shaking because I felt tears coming. But I held them in and jumped in my car, speeding out the yard, down the road. I called Kayon.

"Hello?"

"You um....bus..." my voice was breaking.

"What's wrong Zo?"

"Can you come to Shayla's?" I was able to get it out.

"Yeah, let me ask Gma for her car...I'm coming now."

"Thanks," we hung up.

"I just have to go to the store, Mr. Bailey need me. I will be back." I lied to Micky.

"Okay, see you later." We kissed and I hopped in Gma and left immediately. I got to Shayla house in no time, I knocked on the door. He opened it and I could of killed someone right then and there. "What, the fuck happened?"
