"Hate when you have to go," I was hugging him as he zipped up his backpack.

"What you gon do when we split for college for real?"

"You applied everywhere I did, right?"

"Yeah but I can't just choose the sane school as you because we best friends.,. I have to go somewhere that's the best fit for me."

"We always said we'd attend the same school, what changed?" I let him go.

"We did, but we ain't kids anymore. We don't want the same things."

"Is this about Cole?"

"This about you and me...I haven't exactly been one hundred with you." He turned to sit down on my bed. "Lani, I don't feel comfortable with this throuple thing you trying to do."

"Really, I thought you would jump to the opportunity..."

"Not with you,"

"Damn,"

"Not like that. I told you on many occasions I find you attractive but that doesn't mean I want to be having sex with you. I don't want us to have that kind of friendship. I just wanna be friends and that's it."

I sat down on the bed beside him. "Cole likes you,"

"He might have mentioned that, and I told him we can't do that...not to you."

"You aren't doing anything to me, I'm well aware of you two, and I know y'all fucked that night after we all did...and I know you enjoyed it...more than with me."He put his head down. "It was wrong, and I was hurt, but I told Cole just have us both."

"Why Lani?"

"Cole was just there so I could stay sexually connected to you, but even Cole couldn't change that you just don't want me in that way. Im not sad about it anymore because, I never should of kept it up this long."

"Are we still okay Lani?"

"We are. I am going to end things with Cole though, for obvious reasons." I playfully punched his arms.

"I think that's a good idea.."

"If you both do decide to stay in contact after I end things with him, just give me a heads up. That's all I ask."

"I don't plan on..."

"Just give me a heads up." I know wjatbhe's saying now but I believe they are a long way from being done.

"Okay. I see Gina still here, have you heard from Kay?"

"No, but I sent Lonzo a text, he said they'll be here soon. I guess he's going to talk to her."

"I reached out but," we heard the front door open so we rushed out to find Kayon and Lonzo walking in, holding hands.

Malani immediately gave Kayon a hug. He put one arm around her. "Um good, really."

"Glad you okay," I smiled and he just nodded.

"Thanks," then he locked eyes with Lonzo, who pulled him in to his chest." Just to let y'all know, we together now."

Malani smiled covering her mouth. "Say you swear?"

"Deadass serious...shits official." Kayon let Lonzo hold him.

"Finally, should of been together, instead of wasting everyone else's time." I joked.

We all laughed. "He had to get shit out his system and I willing to wait."

"It all worked out...he definitely glowing." Malani said.
