Chapter 41

Malani

I was helping Gma prepare Thanksgiving food. I loved thanksgiving or anytime family and friends came together. We had to clean the house until there wasn't a spec of dust, and Gma claimed she was Ted assistance. She really like to do everything herself in the kitchen.

"Big head," Kayon said when I came and took a seat on the couch.

"What?"

"Why the long lip?"

"The lady ask for help and then critiques everything you do."

He grinned, but he was really focused on the game. "You know they say Cole have a kid."

I glared at him. "He does not, he would of told me."

"You sho? Because I heard it from more than one person."

Did he? He wouldn't hide a child? "I'll ask him when he gets here, but I already know it's a rumor."

"Then why ask if you know it's a lie?" He shrugged, knowing he was getting under my skin.

"Well I heard Chris and Lonzo back fucking,"

His smiled disappeared. "Man, you just want me to react..."

"You know I'm pretty tight with Chris and from my understanding, they talked last night and had sex...great sex, different from all the other times." I smiled. "Maybe, Lonzo said I love you."

Kayon

"Imma be back," I was bothered but shit he was allowed to do what he wanted. But here I am, jumping in my ride to go holla at him. Then I stopped before pulling out the driveway. What the fuck ima even say? He won't even talk to me but he coolin with him. Plus, he might stop by today anyways. What if he bring Chris?

I just got out my car and went back inside.

Later that evening a bunch of people started coming. I had already showered and was about to get dress when I got a text. It was a video of the thick guy I been talking to, we been doing more than talking. The first night I met him, nigga gave me some sloppy toppy that was so good, I ain't even need to smash. To be real after the second time, I wasn't really interested anymore. The other guy was giving me, he possibly want a relationship vibes. I had to block him with the quickness.

The door opened and Lonzo walked in. He was so damn fine and his outfit was simple but he made it look good. I love when he wore all his jewelry and he had some fresh twist. He saw me and waved, I was about to walk to him but he held the door open and Chris came in behind him. So I stopped in my tracks.

"Told you," Malani walked up from behind me. "You brought Chris, heyyyy" she walked over and hugged them both.

I would never call her out her name, but she was pushing it. Whatever, I was just about to go to my room. Once I got in there I laid down.

Lonzo

"Gma!" I gave her a hug. "This is Chris, Cris this is Gma."

"Hello baby, she embraces me and Chris also." She started fixing us both a plate. "If you're not ready to eat, I can wrap it up for you boys."

"I think we will eat now, I know um hungry." He looked at Chris.

"Im am also,"

When the plates were made, we went to the table to eat. Malani joined us, but stood back up when my cousin walked in. He hugged her then came behind me and tapped my head. "Chris," he nodded.

"Hello Cole,"

Then he leaned down and whispered in my ear. "Got some shit to tell you, it can wait until later or tomorrow."
