"I got your big suitcase, imma go ahead and put it in Malani's trunk."

"Thank you," I slapped his ass when I walked by him. "Boy, go on."

"You want saying that last night,"

"Last night me, isn't right now me." He flicked me off.

"Yeah, aaight."

I rolled his suitcase out to the car. Malani was crying all night morning, she was cleaning out her car before we left. "He gon be back before you even know it."

"I just love him so much, I wish he could just live with us."

"His parents love him too Malani," I giggled a little and it made her smile.

"I know, but he my best friend...I want him to be here with me all the time." She popped the trunk for me.

"Maybe, we can take a couple trips to see him before the summer." Her face lit up.

"Would you come with me?"

"Yes, if it will keep you from crying." She walked over and hugged my neck, kissing my cheek.

"What's going on out here?" Micky walked out with the rest of his belongings.

"We might come see you before you come back for the summer."

"Okay, I hope so."

We waited at the bus station with Micky,  and it was now setting in that he was about to be gone. We all were standing outside the car. I reached for his hand and pulled him to me. "What?"

"You really leaving me,"

"It just hit you?"

"Actually, yeah."

"You will be right back in some other nigga face by the time I'm on the bus." He joked.

I sucked my teeth. "Watch out," I wrapped my arms around him and he rested his chin on my shoulder. "all the games aside Mick, I um..."

"Yes,"The bus pulled up. He turned around. "It's here, time for me to go." He pulled away from my embrace. We took everything out her car and walked towards the bus with him. I fell behind as they both walked hand and hand. First she hugged him forever." Lani, come on now."

She wiped the tears from her eyes, "Love you so much."

"I love you much more," she kissed him right on the lips.

Then it was my turn. "It's been a crazy fucking summer,"

"Tell me bout it,"

"I'm sorry things didn't need how you had hoped,"

"I'm not holding any grudges, it's all probably for the best." He smiled.

"It's cool if I check in every now and again?"

"Duh,"

"Smart ass mouth, but um, imma miss it." He pulled my shirt, making me almost stumble into him.

"See you later Kay," we both hugged. "I don't regret any of it.

"Me either,"

I had Chris pinned up against the locker whispering in his ear and some of the niggas from the football team walked by. "Shit crazy," one of them
said as they turned their noses up at me.
